This is what Balmy Beach looks like on a world stage. 🌍

Last week, 11 of our athletes competed at the 2026 ICF Sprint Masters World Championships in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia - one of the most competitive Masters paddling events in the world, with athletes from dozens of countries racing on Lake Banook.

Our team brought home 18 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal across three days of racing.

But more than the medals: this is a group of people who train year-round, who show up for each other at every practice, who travel across the country to race at the highest level of their sport and who make this club what it is.

To Anne Buckley, Andrea Stoddart, Mari Ellery, Ellen Fergusson, Chris Helyar, Sam Roworth, Vered Phillips, Warren Hastings, Dave Moore, Brett Stein, and Kevin Sendyk, we could not be more proud. 🇨🇦

Thank you to everyone who cheered from afar, followed along, and sent messages of support from home. BBCC is lucky to have athletes like these, and a community like you, behind them!
