Important Information Regarding EG Elite Swim Program

Due to recent information that has come to Swim Ontario’s attention, Swim Ontario would like to clarify that EG Elite Swim program operating out of the newly opened East Gwillimbury pool is not a member of Swim Ontario.

As such, participants in the EG Elite swim program ARE:

1. NOT COVERED by Swim Ontario /Swimming Canada INSURANCE;
2. NOT ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE at Swim Ontario or Swimming Canada swim meets;
3. NOT eligible to compete in other competitions hosted by other Canadian Swim Provincial Sport Organizations;
4. NOT serviced by Swim Ontario or Swimming Canada; and,
5. NOT COVERED or bound by Swim Ontario and/or Swimming Canada SAFE SPORT POLICIES or PROCEDURES.

Pre orders are open for the Orange Cap Day Campaign! On September 30, we encourage swimmers and Canadians across the country to wear orange to honour Residential School Survivors and remember the thousands of Indigenous children who experienced the harms of the residential school system.

Inspired by Orange Shirt Day, the Orange Cap Campaign was created to bring this message into the swimming community. Through specially designed orange silicone swim caps, swimmers are invited to participate in Truth and Reconciliation Day by wearing the orange cap and showing their support both in and out of the pool.

Registration for the Futures Skills Camps August 31-September 1 and September 3-4 is now open! These camps are for 9-12 year olds who are registered swimmers with Swim Ontario clubs.
