The Crease Goaltending Academy

Welcome Jacob Hutchings aka Hutchy to The Crease team.

Jacob spent six seasons as a varsity goaltender at Brock University, including a season training under Crease founder Dave Dolecki. He knows the technical, physical, and mental demands of the position firsthand.

With a background in coaching, strength and conditioning, and education, Jacob helps goalies build strong fundamentals and the confidence to hold up under pressure. Off the ice he works as a firefighter — a job that reinforces the composure and accountability he brings to each lesson. Hutchy is available for team practices this season, reach out to us today to line him up with your team this season.

A massive shout out to CCM Goalie. They went above and beyond this year: demos for every single goalie in camp. Pads, blocker, catcher, chest protectors, skates, helmets, sticks — it felt like Christmas morning at the rink. Thank you as well for the prizes for the week. We can’t thank you enough.

Thank you to the Cwench Center for hosting all our summer camps, and a special thanks to Carlo, Dave and Salso for taking such good care of us every day in so many ways. Thank you to the restaurant upstairs for the lunches.

And to the parents — we know you have a lot of choices out there when it comes to goalie schools. Thank you for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to develop your goalie. We don’t take that for granted.

Fall/Winter Grassroot Beginner Lessons on real ice in The Incubator are now available to book at The Cwench Centre — built for first-time goalies ages 5–11. The same lessons that Nashville Predators prospect Jack Ivankovic went to when he was 7.
