As summer winds down, Pinewood will be taking a short studio break from August 31 through September 7.
This gives our wonderful team a chance to rest, recharge and soak up a little more summer before we welcome you back for a fresh season of movement.
Classes resume Tuesday, September 8. We’ll see you then!

✨ Meet Meredith!
Meredith and Kiri’s story goes way back; they first met in professional ballet classes here in Toronto more than 15 years ago and have been swapping Pilates classes, clients and movement knowledge ever since. 🤍
Before Pilates became such a big part of her world, Meredith spent her 20s living and dancing professionally in NYC, had a brief stint as a Jubilee showgirl in Vegas, and eventually made her way back to Toronto to perform with companies including Opera Atelier. 🩰
Today, Meredith is known for her work in Therapeutic Pilates, bringing extensive experience from physiotherapy and rehab settings and she recently added a kinesiology degree to her already impressive movement background. 🎓
Outside the studio, life looks a little more like cottage weekends, cycling, reading, cooking with sitcom reruns playing in the background, and spending time with her daughter.
Her ideal Pilates class? You can pretty much guarantee some spinal rotation or a good glute med burn. 😏
And a few Meredith essentials: a two-shot decaf latte with full-fat milk, an early bedtime, sunny days, a good book… and apparently trying things like windsurfing just to keep life interesting. 😂
We’re so happy to have Meredith as part of the Pinewood community. Say hi next time you see her in the studio! 🌿

If you’ve been thinking about trying a class, this is your sign. 🤍
Our studio isn’t about being the strongest, the most flexible, or knowing exactly what you’re doing.
It’s about finding a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
We’ll guide you through every movement, offer options along the way, answer your questions, and cheer you on—whether it’s your first class or your hundredth.
No pressure.
No expectations.
No perfect outfit required.
Just a welcoming community, thoughtful movement, and an hour that’s yours.
We can’t wait to meet you. 🤍

Kind words like these never get old. 🤍
“A neighborhood gem! Small classes in a warm, friendly environment. The instructors are excellent - experienced and helpful. The vibe, music and atmosphere are perfect.”
Creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and inspired to move is at the heart of everything we do. Knowing that our community feels that when they walk through our doors means the world to us.
To everyone who has taken the time to leave us a review—thank you. Your words not only brighten our day, but they also help others discover a place where they can move, connect, and feel at home.
If you’ve enjoyed your experience at Pinewood, we’d be so grateful if you shared it with a Google review. Every review helps our little neighbourhood studio continue to grow. 💛

✨ Meet Rachel!
Rachel believes movement should feel both strong and intentional—and if you’ve taken one of her classes, you’ve probably already experienced that calm, encouraging energy.
When she’s not at the studio, you might find her at the gym, playing hockey, curled up with a good book, or stitching away on an embroidery project. She studied acting before finding her way to teaching movement, and she still brings that same curiosity and creativity into everything she does.
Her favourite Pilates exercise? Bird Dog. Simple, full-body, and a beautiful reminder that control often comes from slowing down.
Fun fact: she’s the first one on the dance floor at a party and is proudly kept on her toes by her cat, Archie🐈.
We’re so lucky to have Rachel as part of the Pinewood community. 💜
Tell Rachel hello in the comments—or let us know if you’ve taken one of her classes! 👇

We’re only a little sorry… 🤍
Because once you discover how good it feels to move with intention, it’s hard to go back.
Better posture. More strength. More confidence. A little extra mindfulness in your day. That’s a side effect we can definitely live with.
Swipe through to see why we might owe you an apology. 😉
Have one to add? Tell us in the comments—what’s something you’re “blaming” Pinewood for?
