Hip pain isnât always about a âtight hip flexor.â
More often than not, itâs about how your body is managing load.
When the foot can create good pressure, the shin can rotate, the hip can move through internal rotation, and the pelvis and rib cage stay organized, your body has more options to move efficiently. That means the load is shared across multiple joints and muscles instead of one area doing all the work.
Sometimes, that alone is enough to make the front of the hip feel completely different.
The goal isnât just to get more mobility. Itâs to move better, load better, and build the capacity to keep doing the things you love.

Donât let knee pain stop you from doing what you love!
More often than not, the solution is simpler than you think.
We see runners with knee pain every week, and it usually comes down to improving how the body moves, loads, and handles force...not just treating the knee itself.
If youâre tired of guessing, book a **FREE Discovery Visit** at Prevail.
POV: Youâre building your natural neck support
If youâre struggling to pronate or supinate your forearm, donât automatically assume the problem is at the elbow.
The shoulder and ribcage play a major role in positioning the arm and influencing what the forearm can do.
When shoulder range of motion is limited, or certain areas of the ribcage arenât expanding and moving well, the elbow and forearm often end up compensating.
Thatâs why looking only at the elbow doesnât always solve the issue.
Sometimes the biggest improvements come from addressing the structures adjacent to the elbow while still incorporating some direct elbow work.
The body works as a system.
And often the area that feels restricted is simply adapting to whatâs happening somewhere else.
Stretching feels productive, but it rarely is.
Feelings of stiffness in the hamstrings donât necessarily mean you have tight hamstrings.
It can mean theyâre tight, theyâre weak, they lack control, or the issue is another structure altogether.
If it truly is a hamstring issue, then loading your hamstrings through their full range of motion is often much more effective.
The adductor machine might be one of the most underrated pieces of equipment in the gym.
Most people see it as a bodybuilding exercise, but your adductors do a lot more than just make your legs look bigger.
Theyâre heavily involved in sprinting, cutting, changing direction, deceleration, and accessing better hip internal rotation.
For athletes, theyâre often one of the most overlooked muscle groups until a groin strain shows up.
For people dealing with hip, groin, or even some knee issues, building adductor strength can be an important piece of the puzzle.
And the machine gives us a simple way to load them progressively without needing a complicated setup.
Sometimes the boring exercises are the ones that carry over the most.
Feel hamstring stretches in the back of your knee?
You donât have tight hamstrings.
This is a sign that you actually have a sciatic nerve tension dysfunction.
This is important because stretching your âhamstringsâ is actually stretching the nerve, and that will only make it worse.
This issue needs to be solved with nerve specific exercises.
So before trying to fix a problem, make sure you know what the problem is, or else your best efforts could just make it worse!

A lot of people spend more time âactivatingâ than actually getting ready to squat.
If your goal is to squat well, your warm-up should probably look a little more like a squat.
Thatâs why I usually lean towards things like walking lunges, B-stance RDLs, or hip airplanes.
They put your hips, knees, and pelvis through positions youâll actually use in the lift, making the transition into your working sets feel much smoother.
The best warm-up isnât the one with the most exercises, itâs the one that prepares you for the movement youâre about to train.
Strength is a painkiller.
Not because it fixes every injury, but because a lot of pain shows up when youâre operating at the edge of your current capacity.
By increasing strength, the demands of everyday life become easier for your body to handle.
The goal isnât just to reduce pain. Itâs to build a body thatâs more resilient.
