The SBA is thrilled to announce that we’ve received Canadian Women & Sport’s The Next Play Grant!

This grant funds initiatives that remove barriers and expand opportunities for girls, women, and gender diverse participants in sport. This grant means so much to us and will help create more opportunities for girls to participate, regardless of the financial barriers their families may be facing.

Our SBA JUEL program has some shoes to fill!

After a record seven players from our 2025/2026 JUEL team earned the opportunity to continue their basketball journeys at Canadian universities, we are looking for the next wave of SBA Blues to step in.

Girls JUEL tryouts begin August 15 and we are looking for motivated athletes who are ready to compete, develop, and challenge themselves in one of the top girls basketball pathways in Ontario.

The SBA JUEL program gives players the chance to train with high-level coaches, compete against strong competition, gain exposure and be part of a program with a proud history of helping athletes move on to university and college basketball.

If you are ready to work, ready to compete, and ready to take the next step, this is your opportunity.

Week 1 showed exactly why SBA Summer Camp is the place to be this summer!

The gym was full of energy, the kids had a great time, and every day brought basketball, games, competitions, skill building, new friends, and plenty of fun.
That is what summer camp should feel like.
Now we want to keep it going.

There are still spaces available in the remaining weeks of SBA Summer Camp, which means your child can still be part of the action. Whether they joined us for Week 1 and want to come back, or they have not signed up yet, there is still time to get them in the gym for a fun, active, basketball-filled week.

SBA Rep tryouts are coming and the Scarborough Basketball Association is looking for new male and female players who are ready for a fresh opportunity, stronger development and a team-first environment.

Whether you are currently playing with another club, looking for a better fit, ready for a bigger challenge or trying to find a program that can help you take the next step, we want to see you in the gym.

Girls Rep tryouts begin Saturday, August 15.
Boys Rep tryouts begin Sunday, August 16.

SBA Rep basketball is built for athletes who want to compete, grow, and be part of a program with strong coaching, player development, team culture, and a proud 30-year history of representing Scarborough across Ontario.

Girls looking for an elite pathway should also watch for SBA G-Elite/OBLX tryouts, which begin Wednesday, August 19. G-Elite is designed for motivated female athletes who are ready to work, compete, and push their game forward in a high-performance environment.
