Big change for me and my racing.

As of this week, our series isn't allowing the use of spotters anymore. Since I started my legend car career, 3 years ago, I've had a spotter... my dad. So this change will definitely take some getting used to.

As I've grown in this series, it is impossible to describe the impact my dad has had on me as my spotter. Starting in these cars at 13 was intense... having to race against Master and Semi-Pro drivers that have been turning laps longer than I have been alive was intimidating. Without that spotter input, I'm sure my path would have looked much different.

I still have much to learn, but after years of hard work and having an amazing team behind us, I am so proud to now find myself regularly racing next to the very champions who lapped me 3 years ago. It's been really special having my dad along for that ride with me.

Dad: thank you for literally watching my back and being my eyes in the sky for the past 3+ years. I will miss you in this role more than you know.

Having had such a strong start to the year, I hate being thrown a rule change like this mid-season that could break my stride. However, I am mentally preparing for it and will be trying my best to adapt.

It's another race week so that means it's time for us to try and help a dog that needs to find it's forever home.

This week, with Oshawa Animal Services, we want to highlight Elmer! Elmer was sadly a returned adoption, but he is looking forward to new adventures and finding his forever home.

Elmer is considered a senior at 8 years old, but he doesn’t show it, he has tons of energy! He would do well in a home that can keep up with his energy and give him lots of enrichment. Elmer loves going for walks and spending time in the backyard. He needs a very secure yard as his hound instincts sometimes get the better of him and he will take himself out on his own adventure! This goofy boy is hoping the second time is the charm for him in finding his forever home.

P5 at Peterborough Speedway plus a heat win! 🏁

The front of the field was tight tonight!! But our team came to play as 4 JDC cars finished in the top 5. 💪 For most of the feature race I held on to 2nd place. It was a challenging race with numerous restarts to deal with which ultimately found me finishing in 5th. I would have loved another podium finish but leaving the track with a top 5 and a clean car is a great day that I will take.

Such a strong day for JDC MOTORSPORTS ...it was obvious the entire team was dialed in. That is not just by chance... the dedication, hard work, knowledge and skill in this team is next level. So lucky to be a part of the team. Thank you to the entire JDC crew for all you do!
