This is a very difficult thing to write.
When Tyler and I started Counted Out, we did it for us. Honestly, we didn't know or care if anyone was going to listen.
Six years later, we've got nearly 1,500 subscribers on YouTube and so many loyal listeners who have supported us along the way.
But the very first person on board was Rob Arbic.
Rob was a listener of my former podcast, The Lasting Mark, and followed us over to Counted Out on day one. He never missed an episode, told everyone he could about us, and gave us frequent feedback. (Usually that I was a much better host than Tyler. 😂)
But Rob was so much more than a Counted Out superfan. He was a friend. A really good friend.
He would always reach out to see how me and my family were doing. He'd come see Tyler and me at wrestling shows whenever he could. He would buy and send us incredibly generous birthday gifts. He started my slowly growing mask collection. He would send my son boxes of action figures, belts and cards simply because he loved seeing people happy.
He was a very, very good man, and I will personally miss him more than I can put into words.
The Ontario wrestling community has suffered a massive loss.
But most importantly…
Who's going to fact-check us and tell Tyler and me that we're wrong every week???
