We are so pleased to see our beloved teammate and leader, Shauna Petrie, recognized by Curling Canada with the inaugural Wheelchair Curling Sport Leadership Award. ❤️

The curling community meant so much to her, and she gave so much of herself back in return. Through her passion, advocacy, encouragement, and determination, she helped create a space of inclusion, opportunity, and belonging for so many athletes. Her legacy continues to live on in the people and community she helped build.

We are also honoured to see her recognized alongside fellow recipients Tom Ward and Devin Heroux, whose contributions to wheelchair curling have also helped shape and grow the sport across Canada.

Our first tournament of the season!! 🥌

The Sticks, Stones & Wheels wheelchair bonspiel starts on Saturday, November 1 at the Peterborough Curling Club . 3 games Saturday - 8:45 am; 12:15 pm; 3:15 pm - and 2 games Sunday - 9:00 am; 12:30 pm. We'll be posting the results after each draw on the SSW bonspiel page. Everyone is welcome to drop in to the Peterborough Curling Club to watch these great curling teams (for free!!!) compete for the chance to be crowned the champions.

We’re heartbroken to share that our incredible skip, teammate, and dear friend Shauna Petrie passed away this past weekend.

Shauna was the fire in our team, fiercely competitive, passionate, and always gave everything she had on and off the ice. She pushed us to be better, fight harder, and believe in ourselves, even when the odds were against us. Her energy lit up every rink we played in, and her presence made us stronger.

More than anything, she was family. We shared wins, losses, tournaments full of good memories, and countless laughs. Her absence leaves a space on our team and in our hearts that can never be filled.

We love you, Shauna. Thank you for everything. We’ll carry you with us, always. 🥌❤️
