Sailing does not simply fill the calendar. It gives the days texture. A morning departure, an unexpected breeze, a distant coastline appearing on the horizon—small moments become the things you remember for years.
Life ashore can move quickly without feeling like it has gone anywhere. Sailing slows everything down just enough for you to notice it: the color of the water, the shape of the clouds, the sound of the hull moving through a quiet sea.
It may not add more days to your life, but it can make a single day feel wonderfully full. And sometimes that is the better bargain.

Update for anyone sailing eastward this August. All fees on the Murray Canal are waived this year as part of the "Canada Strong" program.

We’re proud to support Black Girls Set Sail and the incredible work they’re doing to make sailing more accessible to young women in our community.
Highland Yacht Club is honoured to provide dock space and a home for this free program, helping create opportunities for participants to discover a lifelong passion for sailing, build confidence, and develop new skills on the water.
This local news story highlights the program and the amazing impact it’s having right here at Highland Yacht Club.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this program possible—we’re grateful to be a small part of something so meaningful.
