"Showing a profit means touching something and leaving it better than you found it." — Jim Rohn

Jim Rohn had a way of taking ordinary words and filling them with extraordinary meaning. "Profit" was one of those words.

For most people, profit is a number on a balance sheet. For Rohn, it was a philosophy for living.

He taught that every encounter is an opportunity to create profit — not just financial, but human. Did you leave that conversation better than you found it? Is that person more encouraged after talking to you, or less? Did you leave that room cleaner, that team stronger, that community healthier?

This was Rohn's measure of a life well-lived. Not how much you extracted from the world, but how much better you left it.

He used to talk about the farmer who leaves the soil richer than when he started. A good farmer doesn't just take from the land — he puts back. He rotates crops. He lets fields rest. He invests in the long-term health of the land, knowing that his children and grandchildren will depend on it.

That's the kind of profit Rohn was talking about. The kind that compounds across generations.

What have you touched today that you left better than you found it?

"Success lies in the opposite direction of the normal pull." — Jim Rohn

The normal pull is comfort, ease, doing what everyone else does. Jim Rohn watched people choose entertainment over education, excuses over ownership — day after day. Then wonder why nothing changed.

Success requires deliberately walking the other way. Not recklessly. Intentionally.

Where has the "normal pull" been winning in your life lately?
