The final episode of Training Tuesday for summer 2026! As we begin team training next week let’s get caught up on what athletes have been up to leading into the fall👉

1-3. Emma is in Canmore for an intensity block and some biathlon training with the paranordiq nation team, and even got to summit a mountain with team alum Erin!
4. Jacob and rookie Holly ran in a 24hr ultra race!!
5. Sam and Jonah are back in Ottawa and back in action for some roller ski intensities on the city trails🏙️🔥
6-7. Some footage from Maja’s trip to Jasper National park and the Thompson creek falls hike
8. Bronwyn is back on roller skis after suffering a collarbone injury earlier this summer🙌

Introducing the Gee-Gees Nordiq Rookie Class of 2026 🔥

Please welcome rookie Chantal Kukulka to the team!

Hailing from Timmins, Ontario, Chantal joins the team with experience racing at the Ontario Cup and national levels. She’ll be studying Human Kinetics with a fast-track Master’s in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa.

Chantal is also a biathlete and will be training and racing with Chelsea Biathlon as part of the National Capital Biathlon group this season. When she’s not skiing or training, she enjoys making art, spending time outside, and playing board games.

Originaire de Timmins, en Ontario, Chantal arrive avec de l’expérience en compétition aux niveaux provincial et national. Elle étudiera en sciences de l’activité physique avec une maîtrise accélérée en physiothérapie à l’Université d’Ottawa.

Chantal est également biathlète et s’entraînera et participera à des compétitions avec Chelsea Biathlon au sein du groupe de biathlon de la région de la capitale nationale cette saison. En dehors du ski et de l’entraînement, elle aime faire de l’art, profiter du plein air et jouer à des jeux de société.

Introducing the Gee-Gees Nordiq Rookie Class of 2026 🔥

Please welcome rookie Nicole Kukulka to the team!

Hailing from Timmins, Ontario, Nicole joins the team from Porcupine Ski Runners. She’ll be studying Human Kinetics with a fast-track Master’s in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa. Nicole comes to us with plenty of racing experience, including multiple Ontario Cups, two Nationals appearances, and four OFSAA Championships.

Nicole is also a biathlete and will be training and racing with Chelsea Biathlon as part of the National Capital biathlon group this season. When she’s not skiing or training, she enjoys hiking, travelling, and playing music on the harp, guitar, and piano — as well as singing.

Elle étudiera en sciences de l’activité physique avec une maîtrise accélérée en physiothérapie à l’Université d’Ottawa. Nicole arrive avec beaucoup d’expérience en compétition, notamment plusieurs Coupes Ontario, deux participations aux Championnats canadiens et quatre participations aux Championnats OFSAA.

Nicole est également biathlète et s’entraînera et participera à des compétitions avec Chelsea Biathlon au sein du groupe de biathlon de la région de la capitale nationale cette saison. En dehors du ski et de l’entraînement, elle aime faire de la randonnée, voyager et jouer de plusieurs instruments, notamment la harpe, la guitare et le piano, en plus de chanter.

Hailing from Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Holly joins the team from Team Hardwood. She will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Marketing at the University of Ottawa this fall. Holly comes to us with plenty of racing experience, having competed at the 2026 Canadian Nationals in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Easterns, and the OFSAA Championships.

When she’s not skiing, Holly enjoys hanging out with friends, travelling, and hiking.

Originally from the Yukon and now based in Ottawa, Finnian joins the team from the Yukon Ski Team and Nakkertok Nordic. He will be studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa this fall. Finnian comes to us with lots of racing experience and will be a member of the Ontario Ski Team this year. He will also continue racing with Nakkertok in their ENRG program this season.
When he’s not skiing, Finnian enjoys hiking, playing music, and cooking.

Originaire du Yukon et maintenant établi à Ottawa, Finnian se joint à l’équipe en provenance de l’équipe de ski du Yukon et Nakkertok Nordiqie. Il entreprendra un baccalauréat en génie mécanique à l’Université d’Ottawa cet automne. Finnian arrive avec beaucoup d’expérience en compétition et sera membre de l’équipe de ski de l’Ontario cette année. Il continuera également de courir avec ENRG cette saison.
En dehors du ski, Finnian aime faire de la randonnée, jouer de la musique et cuisiner.

Originaire de Yellowknife, dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest, Neve se joint à l’équipe en provenance du Yellowknife Ski Club Race Team et entreprendra un baccalauréat spécialisé en sciences biopharmaceutiques à l’Université d’Ottawa cet automne. Elle arrive avec de l’expérience sur la scène nationale, ayant notamment participé aux Jeux d’hiver du Canada de 2023 et aux Jeux d’hiver de l’Arctique de 2026.

En dehors du ski, Neve aime faire du vélo sur route, lire, pratiquer l’escalade et partir en randonnée.

Please welcome rookie Neve Mahon to the team!
Hailing from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Neve joins the team from the Yellowknife Ski Club Race Team and will be studying Honours Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Ottawa this fall. She arrives with experience competing on the national stage, including appearances at the 2023 Canada Winter Games and the 2026 Arctic Winter Games.

When she’s not skiing, Neve enjoys road biking, reading, climbing, and hiking.

Hailing from Porcupine, Ontario, Emma joins the team from Porcupine Ski Runners and will be studying Criminology at the University of Ottawa this fall. She brings experience competing at the provincial level, with strong performances at the Candy Cane Cup, OFSAA, and the Ontario Cup circuit.

When she’s not skiing, Emma enjoys writing and reading, and spends her time outside of sport staying connected to those interests.
