🚜 Community Assistance Needed 🚜

Due to the excessive rainfall we've experienced this season, our soccer fields were too wet to mow for an extended period. We were finally able to get them mowed last week, but we're now left with a thick layer of cut grass that needs to be removed before it affects the healthy turf underneath.

We're looking for a local farmer or contractor who may have equipment capable of raking, collecting, or otherwise removing the cut grass from the field.

This would be paid work, and we're happy to discuss compensation for the right equipment and service.

The long weekend is just a few weeks away... ahhh, summer! ☀️ Wind down after your camping weekend with us at the Rec Complex for a special parks and craft day: Park Patchwork Palooza! 🛝🧶

📅 When: August 4th | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
👶 Ages: 7+
💰 Cost: $20 per participant

We are kicking it old school! We'll play hard in the sun and sand, then head back to the complex to make some awesome hook-and-latch pictures to take home. Parent FYI: These hook-and-latch pictures are the ultimate boredom busters! 🧶☀️My kids sat out on the deck for over two hours working on theirs—it was pure heaven! Bonus: my floors actually stayed clean for almost the whole afternoon. 🤫✨

Better late than never! ⏰ Consider this our official, delightfully belated recap of the TRC field trip! 🚌🥳

We loaded up a full house—42 kids, 4 youth, 3 adults, and 1 very brave bus driver—and headed to Snow Valley's Aerial Park. Safe to say, everyone had a blast! 🧗‍♀️ Our amazing kiddos unlocked their inner Spidey-sense and conquered the 15-meter tower like absolute pros. 🦸‍♂️

💥A quick note to our parents: The staff at Snow Valley went out of their way to praise our crew. The lead instructor even stated she’s never seen a better-behaved group of kids! Way to go, parents!

Thank you for raising such respectful and awesome little humans. You should be incredibly proud! 🥰✨

Those pesky bloodsuckers won't stand a chance once our bat buddies move in! 🦇

⚾️ 18U A Tier 2 Baseball Alberta Provincial Championships ⚾️

The Thorsby Bandits are hosting the Provincial Championships this weekend (July 17-19), and we'd love to see the community come out and cheer on our hometown team!

First day of summer break! 😎 My kiddos and I were at Sandholm store this afternoon enjoying a delicious ice cream. There was a Grampa there with his two young grandkids. They were hoped up on ice cream and the adrenaline of summer break, tired and joking, he asked if it was time for back to school yet Lol 😅
