After winning the Thompson Junior Soccer Association 18 and under championship, the Porto players have been quite busy celebrating their championship trophy. They’ve proudly paraded the trophy around town, stopping at different spots to share the moment with friends, family, and supporters. This is what sport is all about: watching this great celebration unfold, seeing the smiles, the hugs, and the pure joy, and realizing what it means to each and every player to be a champion.

The Thompson Junior Soccer Association tournament was a tremendous success in both the 12 & Under and 18 & Under divisions, showcasing incredible skill, teamwork, and community spirit. Monday and Tuesday marked the final days of soccer before we return in September, and we made sure to finish on a special note.
Our U9 players had the chance to take pictures with the U12 championship trophy. Porto also brought their newly won trophy for our U6 and U4 players to enjoy some memorable photos of their own.
Moments like these create amazing memories and help build the excitement and love for the game. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the field in September.

Porto stays perfect with two wins and no losses, while Benfica and Wolves are right behind with matching 1-1 records. Sporting is still searching for its first win as the championship race heads into the final stage.

Junior Lions is still perfect at 2-0, while Junior Eagles and Junior Dragons are locked in a tie at 1-1. Junior Bears are looking to bounce back as the championship continues.

The tournament concludes Saturday, July 25 with the championship games for the 12 and under at 1:30 PM and the 18 and under championship game scheduled for 4 PM.

An absolute stunner from start to finish! It took not one, not two, but three looks to confirm the dramatic extra time goal as officials determined the ball had crossed the goal line and exited out the other side of the net. After an intense review, the goal stood—and the celebrations erupted!

Both teams left everything on the pitch in a thrilling extra-time battle that had fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle. The determination, heart, and passion on display made this one of the most unforgettable matches of the tournament.
