Attention Goalies!!!
The R&R Empowering Society is excited to announce that we are hosting our very first FREE goaltending camp at the Terwilliger Rec Centre in Edmonton, AB on July 22nd and 23rd.
The R&R Empowering Society of Alberta is non-profit started by Tracy Stark, who's sons, Ryder and Radek, were murdered by their biological father on December 19, 2016. Ryder and Radek were athletes who particularly loved the game of hockey. The society was started after Tracy and her husband Brent, received donations following the boy's passing. Using that money, a non profit was started to help Alberta's youth in sports and other life enhancing activities when finances might stand in the way of being able to participate.
Our goaltending camp will be free to 24 goaltenders in the age groups of U7 to U18. We are accepting applications from May 24th to June 2nd. All applicants will be considered but unfortunately we only have room for 24 goalies in this year's camp. We will be choosing attendees based on financial need and current family circumstances. All applicants will be notified by email by June 7th whether or not they were a successful applicant. A wait list will be started in the case that a goalie cannot attend.
Our purpose is to provide quality goaltending instructions to goaltenders of all skill levels to help elevate their game without the restrictions that finances might cause. Our camp is being facilitated by goalie instructors who have a previous history in goalie instruction across Alberta and who have played Junior level hockey.
We will be providing three ice times per day, per group plus a dryland session, as well as guest speakers and lunch! Thank you to REDCO Group of Companies for partnering with us to provide this goaltending camp.
