Leg 16 is underway at 12.08pm. Herbie is crushing day 4 and still has a smile on his face. It is pretty wet and windy now. We predict he'll be in Baddeck between 5 and 5.30pm but well keep you posted at the start of leg 17 This leg is dedicated to all the runners Herbie has encountered in his life. A BIG thank you to all who have supported, encouraged or motivated him at some point for some race he's doing. He also wants to encourage more to join this amazing, supportive running scene in Cape Breton. Join one of the Learn to Run programs that will be offered in 2026. And he's off!!! It's 7.15am and leg 14 has begun. Herbie decided to start a little earlier today since it's day 4 and the legs needed a bit more to wake up today... Funny how 206km can make the legs a little stiff 😂 we will be updating throughout the day when we can. Today's run is in memory of Bill Steele. Bill sadly passed away in 2021 due to heart complications. Many of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation supporters will know Bill's wife, Sheri Steele, who has worked for the Foundation for 17 years. Bill and Sheri were an amazing couple and she keeps his memory alive every day. This leg is for you Bill and all the Steele/Fortune family. Join the International Student Services team for a Road Safety and Winter Driving Session, led by Gary Fraser from the Cape Breton Regional Police on November 19, 2025, from 11:45am-1:00pm at the Advising Centre.

Learn how to stay safe behind the wheel this season, from navigating snow and ice to handling emergencies and understanding local traffic laws.

Open to all students, especially those new to driving in Canada.
