🇺🇦 Meet Mriya Ukrainian Dance & Culture Education Society

Founded by choreographer Marta Kasha in 2022, Mriya has grown into a vibrant community of more than 80 dancers, celebrating Ukrainian heritage through dance, cultural education, and performance.

At the Folklore Festival 2026, Mriya will present a lively Bukovynian folk dance, a high-energy traditional style from Ukraine’s historic Bukovyna region.

✨ Did you know? The world-famous “Carol of the Bells” is based on the traditional Ukrainian melody “Shchedryk,” arranged by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych.

We are honoured to welcome Mriya to this year’s multicultural celebration!

From one dream to three teams. 💥

24 dancers. 3 teams. 1 stage.

Every day, every correction, every drop of sweat led to this moment. Competing isn’t just about trophies, it’s about showing up for your team, pushing past your limits, and proving what hard work looks like.

So proud of every single dancer who stepped onto that stage wearing our name with pride. The discipline, resilience, and bond we’ve built will last forever.

A big shoutout to our amazing band
Dholi Sachin Heeran
Boliyan GURMAN BIRDI
Algozay Sukhman Deep Singh
Tumbi Jagir Singh Brar
Bugchu PRABH UBHI

This is only the beginning. ❤️🔥
