COACHING STAFF 2026-2027 - JON PYE 🏀

We’re excited to have Jon Pye continuing to lead the SJMB coaching staff this season as Head Coach of our U16 Girls High Performance, U14 Girls High Performance, and K-2 Sunday Program!

Jon has been at the heart of SJMB for the past decade, serving as Club President and Director while helping guide the growth of the program from a small club into one of the province’s leading basketball organizations.

Over the past 10 years, Jon has helped SJMB triple in size, while capturing numerous club championships and creating opportunities for athletes across all levels to develop and compete.

His commitment to player development extends well beyond the court. Jon has worked with athletes of all ages throughout his coaching career, with a focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, competitiveness, and a genuine love for the game.

Jon is also coming off a tremendous summer, leading our U14 Boys Travel Team at the Royal City Classic in Quebec. The team battled their way to a 3rd-place finish out of 16 teams, including a huge comeback in the semifinals against the eventual tournament champions.

This season, Jon will continue his work across multiple levels of the program - from grassroots development in our K-2 Sunday Program to leading two of our High Performance girls teams.

We’re excited to have Jon continuing to lead, develop, and help shape the next generation of SJMB athletes. 👏🏀

COACHING STAFF 2026-2027 - HEATHER DAWE-TOBIN 🏀

We’re excited to have Heather Dawe-Tobin back on the SJMB coaching staff as Head Coach of our K-2 Wednesday Program for the 2026-2027 season!

Heather has been a staple of our female basketball program for years, bringing experience, passion, and a genuine commitment to developing young athletes. Throughout her coaching career, Heather has helped lead several championship teams while playing an important role in the growth of basketball both within SJMB and across the province.

Her impact extends well beyond SJMB, with experience contributing to provincial programs and the Seahawks High Performance program. She has been a tremendous advocate for female basketball and has helped countless young athletes grow both on and off the court.

This season, Heather is taking her passion for development back to the grassroots level, leading one of our K-2 programs - a move she is incredibly excited about.

As an experienced school teacher, Heather has spent years working with children in the K-2 age range in the classroom. That experience, combined with her basketball knowledge and passion for teaching the game, gives her a unique ability to connect with young athletes and make those first experiences on the court fun, positive, and meaningful.

We’re thrilled to have Heather continuing to be such an important part of SJMB and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll have on the next generation of players.

COACHING STAFF 2026-2027 - INNOCENT NDAITOUROUM 🏀

We’re excited to have Innocent Ndaitouroum back on the SJMB coaching staff as the Head Coach of our U10 Boys Competitive, U12 Boys Academy & U16 Boys Academy for the 2026-2027 season!

Recently named Minor Coach of the Year, Inno continues to establish himself as one of the brightest young leaders in Newfoundland and Labrador basketball. Since joining SJMB’s coaching staff in 2022, he has become known for one thing above all else - the passion, energy, and commitment he brings to his players and teams.

Inno gives everything he has to his athletes. Whether it’s in practice, on game day, or helping a player grow away from the court, his commitment to their development and success is second to none.

A former 4x Club Provincial Champion as a player, Inno has carried that winning mentality into his coaching career, helping lead SJMB teams to multiple club championships.

Beyond the wins and championships, it’s Inno’s ability to connect with young athletes and inspire those around him that makes him such a special part of our program.

We’re incredibly proud to have Inno back on staff and can’t wait to see what another season brings. More growth. More competition. More passion. And, of course, more championship aspirations.
