CCB Fall Camp - Guest Coach Spotlight
Brie Vallis
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Brie has worked with athletes across all stages of development, from grassroots and youth basketball through to the AUS level. Holding a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Memorial University, Brie’s greatest strength has always been her ability to connect with her players and understand them as individuals. She takes a holistic approach to coaching, recognizing that developing athletes goes beyond skills and tactics. It means supporting each athlete’s unique background, challenges, and goals.
Brie uses a hands-on approach to push players beyond their comfort zone and help them reach their full potential. Through purposeful skill development, game-specific decision-making, and team concepts, she works to develop well-rounded basketball players who play with poise, creativity, and flow.
In 2024, Brie was named NL Elite Coach of the Year after leading the Gonzaga Vikings to multiple championships, including the 4A Provincial title. Brie and her team were also recognized as Canlete’s Atlantic Canada Team of the Year and Coach of the Year following their championship run. The success of her time spent at Gonzaga inspired Brie to pursue the next step in her coaching journey and continue developing her craft at the university level with Memorial.
