So we changed the name from Killerney Horse Show to Shamrock Horse Shows.
Shamrock Horse Shows evolved from the committment that Kathleen Schirmaier of Killerney made to continue the same great horse shows that we have run for over 15 years.

Well we are well past the mark for our show season.
Three more to go.
ITS CONFIRMED
September 20 is the Shamrock Gorsline Derby. Great prizes, prize money, and some new jumps and fill added into the mix should make for a great day.
Same heights as our Series. Hunter and Jumper. Over two rings both jumper fences and natural fences and fill. Longer courses.
Stay tuned for more information to come late August but in the meantime have a wonderful rest of your summer.

I have to do a shout out to a few people because honestly without them none of this would likely happen.
The Martinkus's, Lynda Wood will be laughing right now because I always struggle with that name; anyway, Scott has been helping build courses for several years now and honestly does the heavy lifting and moving of jumps in the past while other volunteers would build the course. Recently his brother Richard has been helping also. Let me tell you we can get two courses fully set moved from indoor storage and out to the rings in about 3 hours. And breakdown is even faster and all jumps put up into storage again...and I dont need to be there for that. You never see these guys but they are an integral part of the team.
My brother Kevin, who now fixes this and that and tweaks and changes and builds and whatever crazy thing I come up with. Kevin and I and my mom would be building courses a few times in the past and Kevin did many breakdowns after a show. We did do the hunter ring build for the May show but I try and keep it to building and fixing now. You see him on occassion.
Lynda Wood. You see her in the office. She knows all of you. Loves to hear about your day. And you see her first thing in morning when you pick up your number until you leave and hand in your number. What you don't see if the countless messages and texts between us for the weeks between shows. And thank the Lord that Lynda is a whiz on excel sheets and can build the entry forms and organize them into multiple sheets and point tallying. Our show spread sheets have multiple tabs and sheets are sent out to each ring and each judge. I know we could use an entry program like Showgrounds Live or Horseshowtime but we like to change things up sometimes and so we do it this way.
So there you have it. That's what happens between the show days and who you dont see that are just as important as those you do.

Do we have a farrier on site Saturday that can put a shoe back on.
