What a weekend we had at the Manitoba Welsh Pony and Cob Association's 50th Show!

Cece had so much fun being able to show with her cousins this year and I had so many proud moments as a Mom and Aunty! We had a packed trailer full of ponies this year that Dustin had to even take a part my cart and assemble it at the show to fit it in. Thank you to Tiffany, Ember and Arley for coming to cheer us on and helping out. And a huge thank you to Donna Jack who is the breeder of my Crystal Springs ponies... my blondes always give me their all at the shows!

Some of our highlights:
- Crystal Springs Lady Slipper won Reserve Champion Sec. A Mare
- C Armr Jarilo had his first show and was such a good boy and even led by himself in one class without his dam
- Cece won a trophy in her showmanship class which was donated by my Mom and her siblings in memory of my Grandma Geneveive Kurtenbach who showed at this show many years ago
- Cleghorn Golden Slippers and Kelly Acres Scandal Sheet were honored the "Old Pony" award for being 20 yrs and over
- It was Ava's first time showing Scandal in English and she looks forward to some jumping in the future
- It was Annika's first time showing Comet in Driving and she did a great job rein handling
- Crystal Springs Valiant Comet won Champion Driving Pony
- I won Sr. High Point of the Show

Thank you to the association, judge, sponsors, volunteers, competitors, and spectators who make this our favorite show of the year!

Thought this was a neat outline on the bin, might need to get something painted on it 💙

Our 4th Annual Kurtenbach Family Pony Camp!

Some of my favourite memories growing up were riding ponies at Grandma Kurtenbach’s with my cousins. Now to be able to get together with my aunty and cousins so our kids can have fun riding ponies together just makes my heart happy 💕 Not too many kids can say that they grew up spending time with their 3rd cousins and great aunty… that is so special for Cece!

The ponies used this year were rockstars, we are so lucky to have these amazing ponies in our family!
- Fancy Pants (35 yr old Welsh Pony)
- Cleghorn Golden Slippers (22 yr old Welsh Pony)
- C Armr Alala (9 yr old Welsh Pony)
- Gewels (17 yr old Newfoundland Pony)
- C Armr Jove (Newfoundland Pony foal)

Fun Fact: Fancy Pants sire is by Grandma’s welsh stallion, Gems Dandy 💙

We had such a great time at the Raggedy Ass Trail Ride on the weekend! We look forward to this ride every year. With all the rain we have had it was a bit mucky getting in to camp but the weather throughout the weekend was perfect. Our team, Ace and Chick are really starting to work well together and Comet was a perfect pony for Cece to ride around camp. We donated one of our driving buggy’s to the Saturday night auction, as we know the huge endeavour and costs of putting on an event like this is every year. Thank you to Harvey and his committee for all your hard work to provide beautiful trails, a top notch facility, delicious suppers and amazing bands every night!
