Had a lady from Sherwood Park come into the shop looking for a powerful fat tire e-bike for riding in the Sicamous mountains.

She is originally from Vancouver Island and vacations in Sicamous. We went through the options in stock, and then I had her take the Rize X on our 1KM demo trail right behind the shop, transitioning from asphalt to grass to dirt and hills.

After 15 minutes on the trail, she came back and said it was perfect!

She bought 2 Rize X fat tire e-bikes in grey and black, fully outfitted for the trails:

PDI completed Wednesday, then picking them up and heading to Vancouver Island for a trip home and riding.

River valley grit & Edmonton road sand can take a heavy toll on your e-bike drivetrain.
When you ride locally, motor torque + fine silt creates a grinding paste that stretches chains 2x faster.

How to spot it:
Look for chain stretch and loose chain links
Check for grit and silt accumulating along your chain and drivetrain Watch for chain skipping or rough pedal response under motor torque

Checking your chain regularly helps protect your drivetrain from premature wear.

Quick tip from the shop: pressure-washing your e-bike at the car wash destroys motors/batteries through water intrusion past seals.
High-pressure water gets forced past the protective seals on your motor, battery connections, and electronics, leading to moisture damage and failure.

The right way to clean your e-bike:
Avoid high-pressure car washes completely
Wash gently by hand to keep water away from seals
Clean your frame and components with a cloth

A gentle clean protects your motor and battery systems.
