Over the next couple of days I will try to list all the people and sponsors who I need to thank for another successful day. Tonight, before I pass out, I want to make the 2 most important thank yous:
1. To my co-producer Peter Scott. While the Cans and Calves is my brain child, it is mostly his effort that gets us the dollars we need. He is full of energy and ideas and without him this event just wouldn't happen. To him and Scott Pump Services, I can't give a big enough thank you.
2. Our Contestants. Each year we strive to put together a list of the best we have... Not only in talent but in attitude. We have been SO successful in finding 35 of the most amazing contestants in each event... They have not once failed to do the job we ask of them, and that is to put on a great show. Our short go in the barrels saw 9 out of 10 ladies run a 12 second time... Something that is rare in that pen. Our calf roping this year was amazing.... Tightest, toughest roping I've seen all year and I've been to a LOT of rodeos. Our contestants are patient, understanding, professional, and appreciative. You all make it easy to convince people to get involved and we as organizers hope we can continue to impress you and keep you coming back. We hope to start work soon on next years event and make it better yet. Thank you all SO much for coming. We are honoured to have had you all and it was a great day.
Sincerely,
Lisa
