35 years ago Pedals and Paddles Adventure Sports had our grand opening taking part in the Canada Day parade on July 1st, 1991 🇨🇦

Since then we've had an incredible 35 years of fun, sun, and a whole lot of paddlers come through our little shop at the end of the road in Tuwanek 🛶

To celebrate this milestone we are inviting the community out to come by our location (7425 Sechelt Inlet Road) on July 1st from 1-3 PM to have a drink (Brickers Cider & non-alcoholic options) and pizza! We'd love to see you and hear about your experiences with us over the years! 🙌

We wish you all and incredible Canada Day and want to express our thanks to such an incredible community for all of the support!

Celebrate your Easter long weekend out on the water! 🐇🛶 We are open by appointment, so don't hesitate to reach out! 🌄

We’re happy to share something meaningful that our partner, Sonia, CCC, MC, from Seeking Sunrise Therapy & Counselling is offering through this year’s WIRTHMAS Anything But Silent Auction. 💛🌊

Every dollar raised in the auction goes directly to a free therapy fund that helps people facing financial barriers access counselling support. We’re proud to support Sonia’s contribution by providing the kayak rental for her donated session.

She has offered a 2-hour ocean kayak therapy support session (valued at $285). There are only 3 days left to take part.

The experience itself is something special. Seabirds might drift overhead, seals often pop up to see what’s happening, eagles sweep across the sky, and if the day is particularly magical, a whale might even pass through. It’s a unique blend of nature, movement, and gentle therapeutic support with a certified mental health professional.

Don't sleep on these beautiful Fall paddling conditions 😍 with the Summer rush slowing down, marine parks are almost empty for your next camping trip!

☔ Unpopular opinion: rainy days can make for some of the best paddling in the inlet. The cooler air keeps you comfortable, the mist and fog create a calm, magical atmosphere, and the water often settles into a beautiful stillness. Some of our staff even say it’s their favourite time to paddle.

Don’t let the forecast this weekend scare you off as weather in the inlet changes by the minute. We’ve also seen “chance of showers” turn into a sunny afternoon more times than we can count. 🌦️

Grab your rain jacket, and come see the inlet in a whole new way this weekend! 🌊✨
