Hi Bowlers,

UPDATED - Some sad news to pass on to the league. Doreen Oyagi, the mother of June Harada passed away earlier today surrounded by her family. For those who did not know Doreen, she was just the sweetest person around. A celebration of life is being planned for August 16th 2-5pm at Momiji. Our thoughts and prayers are with June and her family during this difficult time.

With Planet converting to strings (and it being completed now) John has generously offered league bowlers to come try it out.

3 free games per bowler, anytime before labour day - just not on Tuesday or Thursday between 5-9 pm as they are full with leagues during those times.

Just mention it to staff at the front desk that you bowl in the Sunday night Sangha league.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the delayed news of the passing of former Sangha bowler Kathy Okawara on December 14, 2025.
Many long-time members of our Sangha family will remember Kathy as a kind and gentle person who loved golf just as much as she loved bowling. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
For those who are able to attend, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. A formal service will take place from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
We extend our deepest condolences to Kathy's family and friends.

Revs Rose Bowl, Windsor Ontario
Provincials May 16 – 17, 2026

Eighteen eager Sangha bowlers made the roughly 3 ½ hour drive to Windsor to take part in the annual Provincial Tournament on the May long weekend. Our league was well represented and many had terrific results.

The results posted are not yet confirmed and we do not know how many places will be awarded.

Some of our bowlers are participating at the Momiji Bowlathon on June 20th but we are hoping to recruit some more of you to fill out some more teams. If you are interested in helping a great cause please contact June Shin or Christopher Kobayashi-Reid.

Congrats to a trio of Sangha teams who finished in the money at the GTTBA Mixed Doubles event at Bowlero Brampton. In 8th place we had Wally and Grady, in 5th place we had Cathy and Steve and in 1st place Taryn and Daniel.

On behalf of the league executives, we hope that everyone had a fun experience this season and look forward to seeing you at the various upcoming tournaments and the banquet.

As stated earlier, Chris Kobayashi Reid had another fabulous week as he was over average in all his games shooting a season high 297 (he was perfect on the first eleven shots), a 256, a season high 775 triple and a league high +145. Dan Reid had a 263 game. Chris D’Arcy had a 259 game and was +43. Ryan Murata had a 247 game. Christine Takasaki had a 176, a 177 and a +54. Janet Sakauye had a 163 game and was +34. Dennis Inamoto had a 222 game and was +41. Ryan Ogaki tossed a 185, a 214, a season high 550 triple and a +82. Garrett Amemori had a 219 game and a +42. Grady Cira was over average in all his games including a 226 game and a +64. Mike Koyata had a 189 game. Joan Murai shot a 130, a 134 and a +50. Kelly Sakauye was over average in all her games including a 192 game and a +56. Vern Miike had a 212 game. Richard Harada was over average in all his games including a 197 game and a +60. Nik Erickson had a 146 game.
