✨Mindset Monday✨ Hot Mess Edition
Hot mess express has officially pulled into the station. 😂🚂
Work travel ➡️ vacation activities ➡️ late nights ➡️ ALL the fun ➡️ back to real life ➡️ straight into a very busy season at work….😮💨
And honestly? I’m not trying to pretend I’ve got it all together right now.
Sometimes life gets chaotic. Your routine gets wonky. Work gets busy. The laundry multiplies. Your workouts don’t go exactly as planned. And suddenly you’re just doing your best to keep the wheels on. 😂
But here’s your Monday reminder:
You don’t need a perfect week. You just need to keep showing up.
Maybe that looks like a full workout.
Maybe it’s a 20-minute walk.
Maybe it’s getting your protein in.
Maybe it’s drinking your water.
Maybe it’s simply getting back to your routine after a few crazy weeks.
Fitness isn’t about never falling off track.
It’s about knowing how to get back on. 💪🏼
So if you’re riding the Hot Mess Express with me this Monday…welcome aboard. 😂❤️
Let’s get back to basics, give ourselves some grace, and keep moving forward xo

✨Mindset Monday✨
Don’t let the number on the bar determine your effort.
Some muscle groups are built to move a lot of weight. Others respond best to control, precision, and consistency.
🏋️ Heavy hitters (where progressive overload shines):
* Deadlifts → Glutes, hamstrings, back
* Squats → Quads, glutes
* Hip thrusts → Glutes
* Leg press → Quads, glutes
* Rows → Back
These large muscle groups are designed to handle heavier loads and often benefit from gradually increasing weight over time.
💪 Light weight can be just as effective for:
* Lateral raises → Shoulders
* Rear delt flyes → Rear delts
* Bicep curls → Biceps
* Tricep extensions → Triceps
* Face pulls → Rear shoulders & upper back
* Calf raises (with slow tempo and full range)
These smaller muscles don’t need massive weight to grow. Quality reps, controlled tempo, and getting close to muscle fatigue are often far more important than chasing heavier dumbbells.
✨ The mindset shift:
Stop comparing your lateral raise to someone else’s deadlift. Every exercise has a purpose. Strength isn’t measured by the heaviest weight you can lift—it’s measured by using the right weight with excellent form and intention.
Train smarter, not just heavier. Your body doesn’t know the number on the plate…it only knows the tension you create.

What a privilege it is to move. ❤️
It’s easy to complain about sore muscles, early mornings, or challenging workouts.
But those aches are often a reminder that your body showed up for you.
Not everyone has the ability to lift, run, squat, or simply move without limitation. So instead of seeing soreness as something to dread, try seeing it as proof of what your body is capable of.
Train because you can, not because you have to.
Take care of your body, fuel it well, recover intentionally, and appreciate all that it does for you every single day.
Movement is a privilege. Never take it for granted. ❤️

✨Mindset Monday✨
We often celebrate the grind, but the truth is this:
Recovery is where progress happens.
Stress isn’t just mental…it affects your hormones, sleep, digestion, immune system, muscle recovery, and even your ability to lose fat or build strength. When we’re constantly running on empty, our bodies eventually let us know.
Recovery isn’t about doing nothing. It’s about intentionally giving your body and mind what they need to perform at their best.
Here are a few ways to manage stress and support recovery:
✨ Prioritize 7–9 hours of quality sleep.
✨ Take a 10-minute walk outside.
✨ Practice deep breathing or meditation.
✨ Fuel your body with nourishing foods.
✨ Spend time in the sauna or take a relaxing bath.
✨ Set boundaries and protect your time.
✨ Make space for activities that bring you joy.
Remember, you don’t have to earn rest.
The stronger, healthier version of you isn’t built by training harder every day….it’s built by balancing challenge with recovery.
What are you doing this week to recharge? ❤️
