As Camryn and Aliya said, Giving Day is coming up on September 9th starting at 8am and this campus wide initiative’s goal is to raise funds and increase donor participation, which in our case means all things track and field and cross country.
Starting at 8am (yes it is a race) on Wednesday September 9th, all donations up to $1000 will be matched for as long as the universities matching funds are available (they will run out early and quickly) – this means any and all donations go twice as far and have double the impact but matching funds will run out so we want and need to get as many donations as we can starting at 8am on Wednesday September 9th. 100% of everything we raise goes to the benefit of our student-athletes, team, and program as a whole. Areas such as scholarships, team building, training and competition enhancements are identified areas of need and that we are looking to elevate.
We are directing the majority of our donations to the TFCC Excellence fund but if that isn’t in the drop down menu, don’t sweat as selecting the “other area as specified in comments” and then writing in the comments section - “Track and Field scholarship” or “TFCC Excellence Fund”, or “Cross Country scholarships”, or “TFCC Team Fund” – will see your donation will make its way to the team and support our amazing student-athletes.
We know that there is immense pride for Huskie Track and Field Cross Country. Giving Day captures that pride through the philanthropic donations and we are once again asking for your help. Family, friends, alumni…all of Huskie Nation, please help and contribute what you can.
You can find the link in our bio and stories but for now, please mark your calendar – Wednesday September 9th at 8am; set a reminder, share within your network, talk to your fellow alumni, teammates, family, friends, and all of Huskie Nation on how you can support this amazing program and exceptional student-athletes.
