Honouring National Indigenous Peoples Day & Walking Together in Reconciliation

The Chinese Martial Arts Academy was honoured to participate in the 10th Annual Rock Your Roots: Walk for Reconciliation, joining Elders, Knowledge Keepers, community leaders, and community members in recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day.

As part of this meaningful event, our team had the privilege of performing along the walk route and on stage, sharing Chinese martial arts as a gesture of respect, cultural exchange, and community connection. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a day dedicated to reflection, learning, and reconciliation.

This event also marked a special milestone for our academy as it was the debut performance of our Tai Chi Team, who proudly performed alongside our Wushu Team for the very first time.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, participants, and all those who continue to build understanding, respect, and meaningful relationships within our community.

Together, we honour the past, celebrate the present, and work toward a stronger future.

Thank You, Master Ronnie Yee!

The Chinese Martial Arts Academy would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Master Ronnie Yee, Coach Haven’s long-time teacher and mentor, for once again sharing his knowledge, wisdom, and passion during another incredible Tai Chi workshop.

Your guidance continues to inspire practitioners of all levels, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an experienced and dedicated teacher. The depth of insight, attention to detail, and positive energy you bring to every session make each workshop a memorable experience.

We would also like to thank all of our academy and gym members who came out to participate. Your enthusiasm, commitment to learning, and support of our martial arts community are what make events like these so special.

It was wonderful to see everyone training together, building skills, and deepening their understanding of Tai Chi.

Thank you all for making this workshop another great success. We look forward to welcoming Master Ronnie Yee back again in the future!

Train hard. Stay humble. Keep learning.
