🚨 New Track Record Set at the 2026 Southwind's Showdown 🚨

Congratulations to car owner Clif Bakx and driver Greg Hunter on resetting both the ET and MPH records in Top Alcohol Dragster at this year's event! 5.612 @ 264.04!

Their A/Fuel Dragster was a standout performer and a true fan favorite all weekend long. Thank you to Clif and Greg for an incredible performance, and we hope to see you back for the 61st Southwind's Showdown.

Running so late wasn't on the bingo card, but with the Surface Performance Solutions/ Sick Prep being onsite, the track was killer and allowed us to keep going. We got down to some split and quits. Congrats to everyone!

The 2026 Flaman Sales Southwinds Showdown delivered a historic day of drag racing at our facility, drawing record-breaking spectator crowds and featuring the largest feature car lineup in the event's history.

To our staff who battled all day, the racers who waited it out until it was your turn to go, and the fans who hung in there later then any other year, thank you! We simply couldn't do it without each and every one of you!
