This weekend we had 8 of our athletes step into the ring at the 2026 Ontario Novice Tournament, and we couldn’t be more proud of every single one of them. 👏

The results won’t always be in our favour, but every boxer showed up, put in the work, and gave it their all. We are incredibly proud of the dedication, courage, and hard work our athletes continue to show both inside and outside the ring. 💙🥊

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to bring amateur boxing to Captain Kidd Days with an exciting sparring event that highlighted the incredible talent, hard work, and dedication of boxers from our community and beyond. 🥊

The Captain Kidd Days team, our ring announcer Ian Linton, referees Al Duffy and Bailey Quinton, all of our volunteers, Boomerz Boxing Club (who travelled out to participate), and everyone who came out to watch, support, and cheer on the athletes! 👏

Join Boxing Ontario's Female Development Committee (FDC), in partnership with Bluewater Boxing Club, for an exciting weekend of learning, training, and development!🥊

Designed for novice female boxers (0–10 bouts), this immersive camp is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills, train alongside athletes from across Ontario, and build lasting connections within the boxing community.

Athletes will also have the opportunity to complete a series of baseline performance assessments using VALD performance technology. These assessments provide valuable insights into strength, power, balance, and overall athletic performance, creating benchmarks to track progress and support long-term development.

Get an up close look as our athletes make weight, go face to face with their opponents, and prepare for fight night. Meet our boxers, snap some photos, and experience the excitement before they step into the ring on Sunday, August 2 at Captain Kidd Days. 🥊💪

Admission is free, so come out and experience the excitement before fight night!
