Someone asked me recently, “Are you a writer?”
I have fallen behind in my articles, I haven’t been writing my daily pages and I definitely haven’t been working on the book… So for a couple weeks I haven’t been writing anything ….so for a second — I hesitated. Doubting if I could call myself a writer.
But faltering a little doesn’t mean that part of my identity is no longer within me.
A writer who isn’t writing everydayis still a writer.
A writer who hasn’t yet published a book, is still a writer.
A dancer who isn’t performing everyday is still a dancer. A mother in a hard season is still a mother.
A sprinter who is injured and cannot perform is still a sprinter.
You get it.
We tie identity to output and performance so much that if you aren’t doing the ‘thing’ it is easy to believe that you no longer embody that skill, trait, characteristic or passion.
It’s easy to believe that we need to keep up , more output done at increasingly faster rates when getting things done quickly is celebrated,
But some of the deepest most valuable times in life are the quiet ones — the ones where the thing is still forming, still becoming, still yours.
Where else in your life are you doing this?
Where have you quietly stopped calling yourself something, just because you’re not currently proving it? 🤍
All I can say is don’t give up on you, don’t give up on the deep knowing that all the versions of you that exist in your mind can be brought to this world.
Go Write.
Go Dance.
Go Run.
Go Learn.
Go Lift.
Go Explore.
Go Ahead And Be It All! 🤍🫶🏼🤸🏼♀️

Somebody hands you the guidance —
drink this…
breathe like this…
move like this…
What you do with it is where the real practice starts. Lauren Revive Skin & Wellness told me to drink celery juice for my skin.
I turned it into a tonic that’s mine — celery, turmeric, ginger, garlic, honey, steeped with intention that feels like healing !
On the mat, sore arches don’t mean you skip the pose, they mean you meet your body honestly and adjust. That’s not doing it wrong.
That’s doing it as YOU. Permission to make it your own is where the freedom lives. 🌺
Keep making your life YOURS!

Sometimes when we witness tragedy and suffering around us, it makes us feel guilty if we feel good.
I have experienced this many times in my life, feeling as though I can’t bring myself to feel good, as though if I am down and sad that somehow my compassion and empathy matters more.
I have come to learn that it is as important to continue looking after yourself even if your heart is breaking for others. I also find that when I train, breathe, practice yoga or meditate that I feel more grounded to be there for others. I feel more aligned with my spirit , with my essence and therefor can be of more help to those around me .
I am not saying push through without feeling, I am saying be kind and caring to yourself, keep getting stronger, keep doing what you love and this will invariably spread out around you.
I am sending so much love to anyone and everyone affected by these fires here in Canada and abroad.
If you feel like you need to calm your spirit, mind and body , DM to join a meditation this evening .
So much love ,
Brandi 🌺
We’re always chasing something — a heavier lift, a deeper pose, a bigger breath, a breakthrough. And that’s beautiful. But here’s the thing I keep coming back to: it’s not the PR or the pose that matters most. It’s how you feel after you’ve done the thing. That’s the real marker of progress. The hike, the writing, the new language, the breathwork — it all points back to the same question: how do you feel now? 🌺
Walking through the woods today, just talking it out 🌿 Truth is, I don’t share enough about what I do — and I think it’s because I love it so much that it almost feels like being present for the classes is what truly matters .
It is what matters sure, but making sure people know about it matters too if I am looking to share the love amongst more people and grow my business !
Between holding space for Jasmine through some big changes right now and staying rooted in my own practices, posting about it all just hasn’t been a priority.
I genuinely admire the people who show up consistently and share their work — that’s a skill in itself. I’m just not always there, and I’m learning that’s okay too.
So this is me, simply saying: if any of this resonates with you, come take part. No pressure, no performance — just an open door. 🤍

✨ Resharing this one because I needed the reminder today — and maybe you do too. 🤍💫🌺
We don’t have unlimited time.
So move your body.
Love your people.
Do the things that light you up.
Get strong.
Get happy.
Get present.
This little montage is everything I hold dear — Jasmine, family, movement, and the life I’ve chosen to build with intention.
Today is Sunday.
It’s beautiful.
And it’s yours. 🌿
