AJ Johnson just won the 2026 PBA Dave and Diane Kill Central Open, beating fellow MOTIV staffer Brett Lloyd in the finals! AJ’s ball of choice was the new Jackal Ghost V2!!! Congratulations to both AJ and Brett on a 1-2 finish!

EJ Tackett has set a new PBA Tour single-season average record, breaking the mark of 229.39 set by Jason Belmonte in 2017.

After nearly ten years, the longest running asymmetrical bowling ball in the bowling industry is getting an upgrade. The Jackal Ghost V2 is the carefully crafted update on the legend.

The mission was simple: build a Jackal that rolls in 2026 the way the original Jackal Ghost rolled in January of 2017. And the Jackal Ghost V2 delivers. Sporting the same Predator V2 core as the Jackal Ghost, the Jackal Ghost V2 uses a stronger, enhanced Leverage HFS coverstock to combat modern oil conditions

For almost a decade, the Jackal Ghost has been the exception. In an industry built on constant turnover, it stayed in the line.

When it was released, it did something most others couldn’t. A big, asymmetrical solid that never quit on the backend. The continuation from this solid was not normal and bowlers knew it.

That’s why the Jackal Ghost earned its place. Even now, it still shows up when it matters. But the game keeps evolving. Lane conditions change and expectations get higher.

We’ve been watching. Testing. Paying attention to what made it different in the first place. Not to simply replace it, but to make sure what comes next lives up to it.
