Before you add more weight, more reps, or more intensity…
build the foundation first. 🌿
When you're postpartum, it can be tempting to jump straight back into the workouts you were doing before pregnancy.
But your body has been through a massive transition.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is slow down enough to reconnect.
Three places I love to start:
🌿 **360° breathing**
Learning to expand through the ribs and belly helps you reconnect breath with your core and pelvic floor.
🌿 **Core connection**
Before asking your core to handle heavier loads or higher-impact movement, practice coordinating your breath and deep core muscles with simple, controlled movements.
🌿 **Glute strength**
Your core doesn't exist on its own. Strong, well-coordinated hips and glutes help create a foundation for all the things motherhood asks of you — from carrying your baby to lifting laundry baskets to getting back to the activities you love.
This isn't about doing less forever.
It's about building the right things in the right order.
Connection first.
Then strength.
Then challenge.
And remember: there isn't one universal postpartum timeline. Your starting point should reflect your body, your birth, your symptoms, and your goals.
You don't need to rush your way back.
You get to root first, then rise. 🌱
Save this as a reminder for your next workout, and send it to a mama who needs to hear that postpartum strength doesn't have to be rushed.

Some days motherhood (all stages) feels empowering.
Other days it feels messy, slow, emotional, and uncertain.
And I want you to hear this clearly:
You are not broken.
Not because your core feels weak. Not because you have a scar. Not because you leak, ache, feel pressure, or don’t recognize your body yet.
Your body has carried or is carrying, grown, birthed, and cared for life.
That deserves tenderness, not shame.
For years, I thought healing meant getting my body back as quickly as possible. Now I see it differently.
Healing is not a race back to who you were before.
It is a process of rebuilding trust with your body.
🌿 Learning to breathe again.
🌿 Learning to move without fear.
🌿 Learning to listen instead of punish.
🌿 Learning that strength can be gentle.
This month’s reminder is simple:
You do not have to earn your worth by “bouncing back.”
You are allowed to heal slowly. You are allowed to need support. You are allowed to begin again, as many times as it takes.
If this is a reminder your heart needed today, leave a 🌙 in the comments.

Many moms leave their 6-week appointment feeling relieved… and still wondering:
“Why don’t I feel fully recovered?”
The truth is, that appointment is an important milestone — but it is not the finish line of postpartum healing.
It usually means:
✔ Your bleeding has settled ✔ Your incision or stitches are healing ✔ Your uterus has returned close to its pre-pregnancy size
What it doesn’t automatically mean is that:
your core is functioning well
your pelvic floor is coordinated
your body is ready for impact or intense exercise
you feel strong, connected, and supported again
Postpartum recovery is not a checkbox.
It is a gradual process of rebuilding strength, alignment, breath, and trust in your body.
If you’ve ever thought, “I was cleared, but I still don’t feel like myself,” you are not alone.
And you do not have to figure it out by yourself. 🌿

July was a month of rest for me.
Not the dreamy, perfectly planned kind of rest. The kind where I simply didn’t have the mental capacity to create, post, or keep showing up online in the way I usually do.
And instead of forcing it, I let myself step back.
As mothers, women, and caregivers, we are so often taught that consistency means never pausing. But I’m learning that sometimes the strongest thing we can do is honor our own season.
Now August is here, and I can feel the spark returning.
Not with pressure. Not with perfection. But with intention.
This month I’m focusing on small habits, grounded movement, nervous system support, and rebuilding from a place of compassion instead of hustle.
If you’ve also been moving through a season of exhaustion, overwhelm, or simply needing to breathe… this is your reminder:
🌿 Rest counts. 🌙 Pausing is not quitting. ✨ You are allowed to begin again.
I’m so grateful to be back in this space with you.
What is one small habit you’re calling back into your life this August?

☀️ What’s one way motherhood has made you stronger?
I'll go first.
Motherhood has taught me that strength isn't always loud.
Sometimes, it's choosing to begin again after a hard day.
It's learning to trust your body in a new season.
It's asking for help when you need it.
It's showing yourself the same compassion you so freely give to everyone else.
When thinking about strength, it's easy to picture muscles or workouts—but motherhood grows a different kind of strength, too.
🌿 Physical.
🤍 Emotional.
✨ Mental.
🌙 Spiritual.
It stretches us, softens us, challenges us, and teaches us in ways we never could have imagined.
But here's the part we don't talk about enough...
Many mothers become incredibly strong while quietly putting themselves last.
I believe those two things don't have to go hand in hand.
You can be strong AND ask for support.
You can be resilient AND prioritize your own healing.
You can care deeply for your family while caring for yourself, too.
That's the heart of Sun-Kissed Strength—finding the kind of strength that helps you thrive, not just survive.
💛 I'd love to hear from you.

Longer days. Beach trips. Sticky popsicle fingers. Late sunsets. Family adventures.
And somewhere in between, you're trying to stay hydrated, keep everyone fed, juggle naps, entertain little ones, and maybe—just maybe—find a few moments for yourself.
If this season feels both joyful and overwhelming, you're not alone.
I believe strength isn't about having it all together. Sometimes it's simply asking for support, giving yourself grace, or choosing to care for yourself alongside everyone else.
So I'd love to hear from you...
💛 What's been your biggest challenge this summer as a mum?
Whether it's finding time to move your body, navigating pregnancy in the heat, balancing routines, or simply making space for yourself, this is a judgment-free space.
Let's remind one another that we're stronger together. 🌿☀️

When your body feels supported, you don't spend every moment wondering if it can keep up.
You bend down to scoop up your little one.
You carry the beach bag, the groceries, and the stroller.
You chase tiny feet through the grass.
You laugh, explore, move, and live.
Your body simply becomes part of the adventure—not something holding you back.
But when you're living with leaking, pelvic pressure, back or hip pain, abdominal weakness, or heaviness, it's hard not to think about your body.
Every step can feel like a reminder that something isn't quite right.
And motherhood already asks so much of you.
You deserve to spend your energy making memories, not managing symptoms.
This month, as we celebrate **Sun-Kissed Strength**, let's remember that true strength isn't about pushing through discomfort. It's about building a body that feels supported, resilient, and capable of carrying you through the moments that matter most.
If symptoms are showing up in your daily life, know this: they are common, but they aren't something you simply have to accept.
With the right assessment, education, and plan, healing is possible.
🌿 You deserve to move with confidence, play with your children without hesitation, and feel at home in your body again.
If you're ready to understand what your body is telling you, I'd love to help. Book a postpartum assessment, and let's create a plan that helps you move through motherhood with strength, freedom, and ease.

☀️ Sun-Kissed Strength starts with listening to your body.
Pregnancy is a season of incredible transformation. As your body changes, the way you move may change too—and that's not a sign of weakness. It's a sign that your body is asking for something different.
This summer, let movement be something that supports you, not something you have to push through.
Here are five simple ways to exercise safely and confidently during pregnancy:
💧 Hydrate early and often. Don't wait until you're thirsty. Staying hydrated helps your body regulate temperature and supports both you and baby.
🌿 Modify for the heat. Summer workouts don't have to be intense to be effective. Choose cooler times of day, seek shade when you can, and give yourself permission to adjust your pace.
🌼 Slow down when needed. Some days you'll feel energized. Other days, rest is exactly what your body needs. Both are part of building strength.
🌬️ Prioritize your breath.Your breath is one of the most powerful tools you have throughout pregnancy. It supports your core, helps manage pressure, and creates a deeper connection with your changing body.
🤍 Support your changing body.Pregnancy isn't about exercising like you used to—it's about preparing your body for birth, recovery, and the beautiful season of motherhood ahead.
This month, we're celebrating Sun-Kissed Strength—the kind of strength that grows through intention, self-compassion, and showing up for yourself in ways that feel good.
✨ Save this post to revisit throughout the summer, and send it to an expecting mama who deserves this reminder.
