A fun ride with just the girls (normally we also go with my man and 3 male dogs!).
The best part was watching what line Naja took and following her line! She is actually really good at picking the path of least resistance through, over and around challenging rocky ascents and descents!
I had never noticed before because with 4 dogs she’s usually way too far in front and I’m focusing on trying not to run into dogs…..

It’s so important to go deep, go in and go wide, to connect with spirit and access energies that are only evident with strong tapas, stillness, consistency, and ego-lessness. Was wonderful to practice in a like-minded community, contemplate the teachings of baba hari dass and sit with such great teachers. We are so lucky to have this centre nearby! And- the Ayurvedic food was wonderful :)

It definitely hasn’t looked like this all week however, in fact I picked a pretty bad week to be here surf conditions wise, big storms and high winds most days, but not even the good kind of high wind for kiting! …. Nonetheless, I have had a few ok surf sessions and 1 survival kiting session. Plus, the huskies are super happy, and taking a week off of work to read, rest and digest has been good for my soul. I can’t remember the last time I had this many days in a row where I allowed myself to wake up naturally. I can really sleep quite late when there is no alarm!
My daily meditation practice is going strong, and I’ve managed to do a few workouts and yoga sessions in between all of the resting and sleeping! I’m definitely poking forward to getting back to my VBC workouts though!

Asana prepares the body for meditation. The shapes we form can help to clear or settle excited prana and when we surrender and release in savasana- the body is then more prepared for the other limbs of yoga. If you feel a moment of connection, peace, or even bliss when you sit up from savasana, that’s a great time to sit in meditation for awhile. Well- anytime is a great time to sit in meditation! 🧘
