What a day at Riverside! ⛳️🏆 We were proud to welcome 92 players to Riverside for the 2026 Driscoll & Stears events, a fantastic day of competition and a great opportunity to showcase our course and Riverside hospitality.

The Driscoll welcomed 22 players competing in the NB Player of the Year individual stroke play event, with the overall champion determined by the low net score of the field, and this year’s Driscoll Champion is one of our own! 👏🏆 Gayle Sohi – Riverside Country Club!

Riverside was also well represented throughout the individual Driscoll:
⛳ Kelly Laing – 1st Gross, Flight 2 and 3rd Overall Net
⛳ Lois Stewart – 3rd Gross, Flight 2 and T5th Overall Net
⛳ Francine Quinn-Steeves – T5th Overall Net

The Stears featured 70 players competing in a two-player scramble, including many Riverside teams.

Riverside members had another strong showing in the team event, highlighted by:

🏆 Mary W. Burnett & Jeanann Fairweather – 1st Gross, Flight 2 (+1)

A huge thank you as well to everyone who helped make the day such a success. With 92 players on the property, it was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our incredible course, our hospitality and everything that makes Riverside such a special place to play.

🏌️‍♀️ The 6th Annual Mary Ellen Driscoll Match Play wrapped up this weekend ! When it comes to women’s golf in New Brunswick, few names stand out like Mary Ellen Driscoll, a true Riverside legend. ⭐

👀 Her record speaks for itself:
🏆 26-time Club Champion
🏆 12-time Nova Scotia/Maritime Champion
🏆 6-time New Brunswick Junior Champion
🏆 24-time NB Amateur Champion
🏆 33-time Provincial Team Member at Nationals
🏆 Proud inductee of the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame since 1988.

This year, our Riverside women teed it up once again in her honour, competing in a fun (but fierce!) Ryder Cup-style showdown: The Dimes vs. The Quarters. Teams battled it out over six holes each of best ball, Pinehurst, and scramble.
