🤎Peaceful Mountain Pastures First Clinic… Officially in the Books🤎

Where do we even begin?

This weekend was something Mark and I will carry with us for a very long time. Our hearts are so incredibly full, and we’re honestly struggling to find the words to express just how grateful we are.

To everyone who trusted Peaceful Mountain Pastures for our very first clinic … THANK YOU!! Thank you for believing in us, supporting this dream, and spending your weekend with us. Watching friendships grow, confidence blossom, and horses and riders improve throughout the weekend was everything we had hoped for and so much more.

A huge thank you to our incredible clinician, Taylor Giberson of TC Equine, Your knowledge, patience, encouragement, and passion for teaching created an atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable to learn, ask questions, and challenge themselves. You have a gift, and we are so thankful you shared it with all of us. While barrel racing was the main focus, wrapping up Saturday evening with some pole work was the perfect way to end an already fantastic day.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a horse weekend without a few memorable moments! We had the pleasure of celebrating Clayton’s 19th birthday with the McClure family, and we even had some special visitors from the RCMP stop by. Clayton ended up sporting a pair of pink handcuffs (all in good fun! 😂), and before long, Alice and Lisa couldn’t resist joining in on the laughs. Those are the kinds of memories that make weekends like this so special.

Looking around all weekend, seeing the horses horse trailers lined up, families visiting, laughter echoing through the barn, and riders cheering one another on … it reminded us exactly why we built this place.

Peaceful Mountain Pastures has always been more than just an arena or a barn. It’s our little piece of heaven, and our greatest hope has always been to share it with others, to create a place where people feel welcome, supported, encouraged, and inspired.

This weekend, that dream became a reality.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every rider, every family member, every volunteer, every helper, and everyone who played a part in making this weekend such an incredible success.

Here’s to the very first of many clinics at Peaceful Mountain Pastures. We can’t wait to welcome you all back. 🤎🐴🫶

Some days at Peaceful Mountain Pastures hit a little harder than others. 🖤 🤍

Sadie was only ever supposed to be a temporary soft landing here while her mama got adjusted to living here in Canada 🇨🇦. But life threw a few bumps in the road, and what was meant to be temporary turned into a year and a half of becoming part of our herd and part of our family.

She settled in like she had always belonged here. Morning feedings, naps in the pasture, running with the herd, quiet evenings in the barn… she carved herself a place in all of our hearts without even trying.

And today is the day sweet Sadie finally goes home. 🐴

Our hearts are so happy knowing she gets to be reunited with her mom and start this next chapter where she belongs. But if we’re being honest, there are a few heavy hearts around Peaceful Mountain Pastures today too. The herd is going to miss their girl, and so am I.

Sometimes the horses that are only meant to stay “for a little while” end up leaving hoofprints the deepest.

Go home, sweet girl. Your family has been waiting for you. And thank you for letting us love you along the way. 🤍🖤
