There’s a big difference between knowing a technique and being able to use it when someone is actively trying to stop you 🥋

That’s why rolling is such an important part of Jiu-Jitsu. Kids get the opportunity to make decisions in real time, adjust when something doesn’t work, solve problems under pressure, and gradually become more comfortable trusting what they’ve learned.

Every round gives them another chance to think, adapt, and come back a little more prepared for the next one ❤️

Listening to instructions, watching a demonstration, paying attention to the details, and waiting for their turn are all part of every kids’ class. These moments teach children that progress also requires focus, patience, and the ability to follow directions.

In our kids’ classes, coaches stay close to the action, watching how students move, helping them make adjustments, and stepping in with guidance when they need it. Sometimes one small correction can completely change how a child understands a technique.

That close attention also helps us understand each student individually: what they’re doing well, where they’re struggling, and what they need to keep progressing with confidence ❤️

There’s something special about reaching a milestone when you have a whole team excited to celebrate it with you 🥋❤️

In our kids’ classes, promotions are individual achievements, but the excitement is shared. Teammates see the work behind each new stripe and belt because they’ve been right there training, learning, and growing alongside each other.

That collective celebration is one of our favourite parts of promotion days. One student runs through the tunnel, and everyone gets to be part of the moment 🙌
