As parents, we try to choose activities that help our children grow β not only physically, but emotionally, socially, and mentally.
In Kitsilano, children are surrounded by wonderful opportunities: sports, music, school programs, outdoor activities, and community events.
Karate can complement all of that.
At Hayabusa Karate, children learn more than punches and kicks. They learn how to focus, listen, control their energy, respect others, set goals, and keep trying when something is difficult.
For families who value education, active living, confidence, discipline, and family values, karate can become a meaningful part of a childβs development.
Not just another activity.
A foundation for life. π₯
Comment KITSILANO and we will send you a package and a scheduling link to set up an appointment to karate classes for children in Kitsilano Vancouver starting this September β¨π₯

π₯ Olympic Day & Lifelong Values
At Hayabusa Karate, Olympic Day reminds us that sport is not only about competition β it is about helping children grow into confident, disciplined, respectful, and resilient young people.
For our students in Kitsilano, Vancouver, and Richmond, karate supports many of the same values emphasized in Canadian education: healthy living, physical literacy, social-emotional learning, leadership, inclusion, responsibility, and respect for others.
As educators and coaches, we see karate as part of a childβs whole development. Through training, students learn how to focus, manage emotions, set goals, handle challenges, support classmates, and build confidence step by step.
These are values that connect strongly with the spirit of Olympic Day β friendship, excellence, respect, and the belief that sport can make young people stronger not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.
Whether our students train for fun, fitness, confidence, self-defence, or competition, they are learning skills that stay with them far beyond the dojo.
Happy Olympic Day from Hayabusa Karate! π₯π

Today, over 10 million people participate in karate worldwide through 201 national federations, with approximately 60% of participants under the age of 14.
Why?
Because karate develops more than athletic ability. It teaches confidence, discipline, resilience, respect, and responsibilityβskills that help young people succeed not only on the dojo floor, but in school, relationships, and life.
At every belt level, children learn that progress comes through effort, perseverance, and character.

A Day in The Life of someone who lives, loves and works in sport:
Our instructor is at the Senior 2026 Panamerican Karate Championships in Macae, Brazil. Good luck!
Today she worked remotely to prepare presentations and coordinate upcoming multisport projects for June and July, weighed in for the continental karate championships, communicated with the President of Jamaica Karate about important upcoming events, trained with the team of Dominican Republic and is receiving technical support in Spanish from a Panamerican Champion coach from Venezuela.
This is one example of how karate is not only a sport: it opens doors to learning languages building international relations and develops lifelong skills that can transition to any career.
Studies show that most female entrepreneurs were enrolled in competitive sports because the skills sport can equip you with complement, solidify and expand far beyond the skills you learn in books. Sport is not just physical activity -- It is education and one of the healthiest ways to build resilience, preserve and prolong youth, build happiness and connect with the world is precisely through sport. It is not an easy road but a rewarding one for those who persevere.
Enroll in our karate classes today and equip your child for the world of tomorrowβ¬οΈππ₯ www.hayabusakarate.ca

At Hayabusa Karate π₯β¨ we believe integrity and dignity are at the core of true development. While confidence and achievement matter, we place character above hype, courage above appearances, and long-term growth above short-term recognition.
Karate is an individual journey that teaches students to develop independent courage, personal responsibility, and self-discipline. Young people learn to face challenges honestly, communicate respectfully within group environments, and let integrity guide their actions rather than fear, ego, popularity, or pressure.
Our goal is not only to develop strong martial artists, but grounded, resilient human beings who carry humility, accountability, confidence, and respect into all areas of life.
We believe martial artists have a responsibility to protect those who are weaker, to stand up for what is right even when it is uncomfortable, and to demonstrate courage in moments where silence, blame-shifting, or protecting appearances may seem easier.
In a world where image can sometimes be valued above truth, we believe young people deserve environments that prioritize education, justice, personal growth, and honest leadership over fear-based decision-making or reputation management.
At Hayabusa Karate, we believe true strength is measured not only by performance, but by character β especially when facing adversity.
