Tai Chi has many movements to elongate the body, exercise the muscles and connect with your brain for balance.
Whether you are looking to improve your mobility, balance or strength; Tai Chi is a a great place to start at any age.
This weeks morning exercise routine will wake up the body, open the joints and feed the muscles energy to be ready for the day.
Chi on.

Final Saturday class before the summer schedule kicks in.
We enjoyed training together as a dojo in a combined class, as well as enjoying some outdoor training.
Many thanks to Sensei Kevin Smith (first Jiu Jitsu Kai Black Belt) and Sensei Doug Sr for sharing with the students in attendance. We followed that up with the first Dojo Family BBQ which was a great success.

On the weekend, several Dojo members attended the Summer Training Festival in Kingston. I was grateful to be able to share our Kitsune Ryu Jujutsu. I was even more grateful to be able to get training in with my students with the elite instructors present.
Here are some scenes from this excellent training event.
Kudos to Apryl Sensei on her award recognition.
My thanks to Hanshi Ken Tallack and the team for their hospitality.
Until next time.

Back from training and teaching south of the border. Had a blast training with Tadashi Yamash*ta Sensei in Shorin Ryu and Suikendo. At 85 years old, he embodies our goal of lifelong martial arts training. More importantly, we have to practice what we preach - training, training and more training.
Followed up with a visit to Midland Martial Arts Academy where I worked with an enthusiastic group of students on some Kitsune Ryu weapons work.
My thanks to my good friend Joseph Joynt Hanshi for everything.
