Movement• Function • Performance for an adventurous life. I've seen it in my own body, and in so many clients as well. What is it I do with clients?
Hi, I’m Margot Wyllie, and I am help you reduce tension and pain, so you can get back to living the life you want to be. Nothing like a pandemic to remind you that growing (some of) you’re own food is one of the most important things you can do. The closer you are to the start of your food supply chain, the most secure and resilient you are. There is something so blissful about eating a meal from your own garden in your own garden.
Stoked to see some of the falls garlic and asparagus popping up, while I build new garden beds to expand the production.

Stoked to be back on the bike. I've been working on the super slow rebuild of strength and stability since giving birth, in no hurry to get anywhere fast. But after a couple of short rides now, I'm feeling surprisingly good.

Recovery from growing and delivering a small human somehow feels like a fresh start. A chance to rebuild the body and movement patterns from the zero again. Stoked to have Naomi at 's eyes on me guiding me on the body rebuild. I'm noticing new movement subtleties in my movements every day.

Here's to connection, strength and ease!

It's all the little moments that make up a wonderful life. I have to remind myself to go slow enough to pay attention to them.
Off to the music with the team. 🦄🌈🧚

Summer is warming, nicely timed with the newborn haze gradually starting to lift. Happy to reconnect to walking. I'm excited to orient myself toward healing, deep self care, rebuilding strength and stability, prioritising wellness and teaching my young ones the same.
I wonder how our care of self transfers to care of the earth.....before it's too late?

This sums it up!
If you want to simplify all the research and studies on movement, it comes down to this: Move in a variety of ways more often and rest a bit each day.
Yes, that’s super simplified and we could spend a long time discussing what moving in a variety of ways and different types of rest look like, but do you find yourself scrolling through social media and get on information overwhelm? Seeing new movements and techniques, but feeling a little lost about what you “should” be doing for your body and mind?
Or if you’re a yoga teacher, are you an information ju**ie? A course-taking addict? I’m a big advocate for continuing education, but when is enough for now? When do you give yourself a chance to integrate what you’ve learned?
All of this information overwhelm can lead us to believe that movement, yoga, mobility, mindfulness are all actually quite complicated (and in some senses that’s true).
But for the average person who is fairly healthy and mobile, you can save yourself extra stress and worry by moving more often, in a variety of ways and rest on a daily basis. It doesn’t have to be more complicated than that. Sound good? Ok, now let’s all breathe a big sigh of relief 😍 I’d love to know your thoughts on this, please share!
I talked a little more in depth about this in my newsletter this week. If you’re not already on my Movement Monday newsletter list, you can sign up through the link in the comments. Movement, mindfulness and inspiration in your inbox each week 💜
