Congratulations to the 2026 Team Saskatchewan Special Olympics Soccer Team who won GOLD in the A division this past weekend in Madicine Hat at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games defeating Team Ontario 3-2!

Strong soccer environments require more than technical knowledge. They require leaders who can communicate, inspire, educate and create positive experiences.
The Saskatchewan Soccer Association is proud to partner with the Edwards School of Business to offer the Technical Leadership Diploma – Communicating as a Leader.
This one-day leadership development program is designed to help coaches, administrators, technical leaders, board members and emerging leaders communicate with greater confidence, clarity and impact.
Participants will develop practical skills to:
-Build leadership presence and confidence
-Communicate with authenticity, professionalism and purpose
-Strengthen relationships through active listening and empathy
-Deliver more engaging presentations and lead effective discussions
-Navigate difficult conversations and provide meaningful feedback
-Lead through challenges while maintaining positive relationships
Cost: $295 per person

Saskatchewan Soccer is proud to support Team Saskatchewan as they compete at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games this week in Medicine Hat, Alberta!
Many of these athletes compete in our Member Organization leagues and participate in our Youth All Abilities programming, helping make soccer a game for everyone.
We wish all of the athletes, coaches, staff and families the very best of luck this week! Your dedication, passion and love for the game inspire us all.

Saskatchewan Soccer is proud to congratulate Bayo Balogun on signing with Halifax Wanderers.
Bayo has been part of the Saskatchewan EXCEL Program from Grade 9 through Grade 11, continuing to develop and challenge himself within the provincial pathway. Prior to EXCEL, Bayo spent his youth development years with ASTRA Soccer Academy and Eastside Youth Soccer Association Inc.
At the beginning of September, Bayo will make the move to Halifax to join the Wanderers environment full-time, marking an exciting next step in his development.
Congratulations, Bayo! We look forward to following the next chapter of your journey.

BEST OF LUCK to Saskatchewan EXCEL Program alumni Gracie Sowers and Tia Schaffer as they take the field with Simcoe County Rovers in the inaugural W Canadian Championship Quarter-Final!
The Rovers take on the Montreal Roses Wednesday, August 12 at 4:00 PM CST with a spot in the semifinals on the line.

The Tony Cote Summer Games kicked off this morning in North Battleford and continue until July 31st. The games are celebrating 150 years of strength in Treaty No.6. The SSA wishes the best of luck to all the competitors!!
