Despite the summer heat, several RDPC members took to the courts to compete in this year’s Singles Slam Tournament. Congratulations to everyone who participated and made for a fun day of competitive pickleball!

The First-Ever Truly Open Division

The Red Deer Open is excited to offer the first-ever TRULY OPEN DIVISION.
- No DUPR requirements.�
- No skill ratings.�
- No age restrictions.

This division is open to anyone who wants to compete! Sign up with your partner, step on the court, and go for the money.

NOTE: These will be the last events to run on both Saturday and Sunday, allowing players to play in their regular bracket as well as sign up for the shootout!

Saturday - Men’s and Women’s Shootout - 6:30pm start time
Sunday - Mixed shootout - 2:30pm start time

If you’ve been waiting for a bracket where it’s simply about playing, competing, and seeing how far you can go, this is it.

What a fantastic day for our Season Opener Member Tournament—and quite possibly our Summer Opener, as the sun stayed with us all day!

A huge thank you to Will for bringing everyone together to enjoy some great pickleball, meet new members, and celebrate our amazing club.

Thank you as well to everyone who came out to play in both divisions, and to all who contributed to the incredible potluck lunch. Your generosity and enthusiasm made the day extra special.

The fun little mixer at the end of the round robin play gave everyone a chance to keep playing but with a whole new group of members.

We hope everyone had a wonderful time. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and we’ll see you back on the courts soon!

Badlands Cup is back this weekend and Round 2 is on the road.

Friday at 6:30 pm we are at Morrin School for our last tune up and prep night with structured play and preparation.

Saturday at 3:00 pm we head to Pickleplex Red Deer for Badlands Cup Round 2. Teams are coming in from Stettler, Calgary, Carstairs, and Red Deer for this one.

Then Sunday at 6:30 pm we are back at Morrin School for Sunday Social Night.

Friday is filling up fast, so reach out now to lock in your spot and let me know if you are in for Sunday as well.

📝 Registration opens March 1
For the first time ever, Provincials will be hosted indoors, delivering an enhanced player experience and consistent competitive conditions. The Junior Provincial Championships will once again be included, strengthening youth pathways across Alberta.
We can’t wait to welcome athletes from across the province for an incredible championship experience in YYC! 🏆
