"Strength through community. Results through discipline." This new name of Bridge Fitness has multiple meanings for us.
After looking back over the past few years, merging the two gyms and all of the changes that have happened, we felt it was time for one more big change. When thinking about what we have evolved into and become, we felt that we needed a new identity, one that encompasses all that has happened and all that we hope to happen within the fitness industry of Raymond. WE ARE SOOOO EXITED TO HAVE DOUG OFFER THIS AGAINđĽ
Hey guys, itâs Jess here.
I donât know who needs to hear this today, but I want to talk about something that comes up all the time and I actually saw another post about it earlier today.
It was about feeling uncomfortable at the gym. Feeling judged. Wondering if people are watching you. Questioning whether you belong there in the first place. If youâve ever felt that way, I want you to know youâre not alone. I have felt those exact same emotions.
Walking into a gym for the first time can be incredibly intimidating. It can feel like everyone knows what theyâre doing except you. You compare yourself to everyone around you, and suddenly your own self doubt becomes louder than your desire to become healthier.
But hereâs what I learnedâŚ
The right gym isnât just about equipment or workout programs. Itâs about the people. Itâs about finding a community that reminds you that you belong before you ever believe it yourself.
Now. Iâm not just say this because I work there. But that is exactly what Bridge Fitness became for me. It wasnât just where I learned how to lift weights it was where I learned how to believe in myself. The encouragement, support, and friendships I found there completely changed my life.
Itâs exactly why, after just six months, I decided to start Personal Training and then become a Health Coach. I realized I didnât just want to help people become healthier I wanted to help them see themselves differently. To help them discover strengths they never knew they had. To help them believe they are worthy, capable, resilient, and stronger than the story theyâve been telling themselves for years.
Sometimes our biggest limitations arenât physical, theyâre the beliefs weâve carried for so long that theyâve become our truth. We convince ourselves weâre not enough, not athletic enough, not confident enough, or not deserving enough. Those beliefs are not your identity. They are simply stories that can be rewritten.
Watching someone go from saying, âI canât,â to confidently saying, âI just did,â is one of the greatest privileges of what I do. Because confidence isnât something youâre born with itâs something you build, one small victory at a time.
Today, I strive to be that same person for someone else. Yes, Iâll push you. Iâll challenge you. Some people call me savage⌠Iâve even been called a medieval torturous. But every workout comes from a place of me believing in you even on the days you donât believe in yourself.
This has never been just about working out. Itâs about becoming the person youâve always been capable of being. Itâs about building confidence, resilience, courage, and learning that you are far more capable than you ever imagined.
Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. Sometimes all it takes is one person⌠or one community⌠to help you finally believe that you do. đ
