Rapid City Beef is Fun

What an amazing day at Rapid City Beef is Fun Day! The juniors enjoyed their morning clinics including washing, grooming, showmanship, and Weaver grooming products.

Our fun show started off the afternoon where everyone put their showmanship skills and morning learning to the test.

Then we moved into heifer, pairs and steer classes.

There was a lot of great cattle and even more exceptional kids on the end of the halter.

Thank you to the parents who took the time to bring their juniors and helped throughout the day. I know this is a very busy time of year for most of us.

A special thanks to our judge Richard Bramley. He spent the afternoon offering advice and encouragement to every member as they presented their cattle to him. Taking the time to give positives notes and ways for everyone to improve.

Today is the day we are welcoming our juniors to Rapid City Beef is Fun Day. We have clinics this morning and a fun show in the afternoon!

It’s great to see this vision come to reality (in a very short time)! It’s all thanks to some great volunteers who have stepped up with the same goal in mind, give our juniors opportunities to learn and have fun with their cattle. The juniors put so much time, effort and love into their animals and this gives them one more avenue to showcase that.

I’m sure there will be some friendships made today, with learning and memories that they will carry down the road with them.
