It's a large day for KVGSA! Our U11, and U15 Dynamite teams move onto the provincial playoff round, away, while our U9 Dynamite team has their semi final at noon at Wells.

It's the bitter sweet time in our season! Come out and spend another beautiful summer day at the field!

It's another Provincial Championship Weekend! First off we have our U11 Firecrackers and U11 Dynamite competing in St. Stephen. Next we have our U15 Dynamite in Fredericton, and our U15 Firecrackers in Nelson. Our U9s will be local again at Wells on Sunday, starting at noon, finishing up their provincials that were rained out last weekend. Wishing all of our teams good luck!

Over the last few weeks, our 2018 and 2019 girls were invited to some 'try it out' nights to work on skills that will be evaluated at Dynamite tryouts in a few weeks time. Our goal was to share with our younger players that there are different levels of softball once you get to U9. We were wowed by just how much skill they have already, and we hope to see them at our Dynamite tryouts! Registration for tryouts coming soon.

Last night some KVGSA members participated in the 4th Annual softball game with the Fundy Region Special Olympics softball team. These athletes have been working hard this summer both on the field and in our batting cage. We love being able to host such a fantastic group. It’s been so fun to see their improvement over the past 4 summers. All of their hard work was evident on the field last night!

Thank you to everyone who came to Shamrock Park to make this another memorable night. We can’t wait to do it all over again next summer!

Now that we have received the family's approval, we wish to share publicly the devastating news of the loss of one of our U17 Dynamite athletes, Leda Kuzik. Our association is feeling overwhelmed and shaken by this news, and we thank other associations for sending condolences to their extended softball family. We are thinking of her family during this difficult time, and especially her sister Sadie, who is also a long time member of KVGSA, and a U15 Dynamite athlete. Leda will always be Dynamite, and KVGSA is committed to ensure she is remembered as an honored member for years to come. Her U17 Dynamite teammates write:
Having Leda on our team was a privilege. She inspired both her teammates and coaches with her grit, determination, and love for her team. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. We miss you #9.

Our U9 Dynamite team had a great opening day at provincials, while our U15s at Eastern Canadians won a hard fought battle over Quebec 3-2! Love to have KVGSA represented in two provinces this weekend! Congrats to Addy Montgomery, our U9 Player of the Game for hitting a home run and a triple!

U9 Provincials are underway in KV! KV Dynamite and the St. Stephen Stingers 1 started off the tournament with KV winning 13-0.

Next up for Provincial Championships is our U9 Dynamite team, competing this weekend at Wells (Field 1). We kick things off at noon today! Come cheer on our future gamers!
