Rothesay Ballet School / Gala Ballet Productions, in partnership with Dynamic Academy of the Arts, invites eligible dancers to audition for our 2026 production of The Nutcracker at Imperial Theatre.

WHO CAN AUDITION?
Dancers must:

• Be 7 years of age or older
• Be enrolled in two ballet classes per week
• Be available for Sunday rehearsals between 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Be available for the required theatre rehearsals and performances in December

Important: Dancers will not necessarily rehearse from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM every Sunday. Individual rehearsal times will be assigned based on each dancer’s role and the rehearsal schedule.

September 20 - Parent Meeting + First Rehearsal
December 9 - Cue-to-Cue Rehearsal | Imperial Theatre
December 10 - Dress Rehearsal | Imperial Theatre
December 11 - Performance | 7:00 PM
December 12 - Performance | 2:00 PM
December 13 - Performance | 2:00 PM

Dancers should arrive at the audition in proper ballet attire with hair secured, and bring a water bottle.

The Nutcracker is more than a performance - it is a longstanding holiday tradition that brings our dancers, families and community together on the Imperial Theatre stage. We are incredibly excited to continue that tradition and welcome another cast into the magic this season. ✨

Our D.A.T.A. Acro Program is designed to build the strength, flexibility, balance and control dancers need to safely develop their athletic movement and take their training to the next level.
