🚨πŸ₯… THE FINAL BUZZER HAS SOUNDED... πŸ₯…πŸš¨

πŸŽ‰πŸ’ THE FINAL SCORE IS IN... AND PRINCE RUPERT WINS AGAIN!! πŸŽ‰

πŸ† FINAL SCORE: $405,890.00 RAISED! ❀️

Look what this incredible community can achieve when we come together!
In just four years, together we have now invested well over ONE MILLION DOLLARS into healthcare right here in Prince Rupert.

Think about that for a moment.

A small community with an enormous heart, coming together to make a lasting difference for our families, friends, neighbours and future generations.

Every single year, Sharon Stromdahl works alongside the outstanding medical teams at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital to determine where our fundraising dollars will have the greatest impact. Through countless discussions, they identify the equipment that is most needed or aging equipment that must be replaced to help our doctors provide the very best care for our local residents.

This year, because of YOU, Rampage Fights Cancer is proud to purchase:

πŸ₯ A state-of-the-art Olympus Endoscopy Tower
πŸ”Ή Four new surgical scopes
πŸ”Ή An Olympus LigaSureβ„’ Cautery System

These upgrades will support gastroscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy and other endoscopic procedures, providing our physicians with cutting-edge technology to diagnose and treat patients right here at home.

What will this equipment do?

❀️ Gastroscopy – Allows doctors to look inside the esophagus and stomach to find ulcers, bleeding, cancer and other stomach problems.

πŸ’™ Colonoscopy – Allows doctors to examine the colon (large intestine) to find and remove polyps, diagnose bowel diseases and detect colon cancer early.

πŸ’š Cystoscopy – Allows doctors to examine the bladder to diagnose and treat bladder conditions, including bladder cancer, infections and stones.

πŸ’œ Endoscopic Procedures – These procedures use a tiny camera to look inside the body without major surgery. Doctors can diagnose problems, take biopsies, remove small growths and even perform treatments through the scope.

But this investment is about so much more than equipment.

It will modernize one of our hospital's most essential services, help Prince Rupert Regional Hospital attract and retain skilled healthcare professionals, and ensure quality healthcare continues to grow in our community.

Just the other day, a nurse told me the urologist performed 22 scoping procedures in ONE DAY!

Think about that...

Twenty-two people who didn't have to travel to Vancouver, pay for hotels, meals, fuel, ferries or flights, take time away from work and family - all for a procedure that often takes only TEN MINUTES.
Those are the victories we're fighting for.
Those are the wins that matter.

❀️ This isn't just new equipmentβ€”it means more people can receive life-saving tests and treatments right here in Prince Rupert, closer to home, with the latest technology. It will help diagnose cancers earlier, improve patient care, reduce travel for families, and help attract and retain skilled specialists in our community. Every single dollar raised is making a real difference in local healthcare.

We may not have a brand-new hospital...

πŸ’β€οΈ BUT TOGETHER... WE KEEP PUTTING POINTS ON THE BOARD FOR HEALTHCARE RIGHT HERE AT HOME!

From the largest corporate sponsor to the 8-year-old child who donated the money from their bottle collection - every single donation mattered.
❀️ This is why we succeed.
❀️ This is why our community is second to none.
❀️ This is what happens when Prince Rupert comes together.

❀️ One Last, But Very Important Thank You...

Before we finish, there is one organization that deserves special recognition.

βš“ The Prince Rupert Port Authority

None of this would have been possible without the incredible partnership and unwavering commitment of the Prince Rupert Port Authority through its Community Investment Fund.

When the Rupert Rampage launched Rampage Fights Cancer, the Prince Rupert Port Authority demonstrated its belief in our community by making a generous $5,000.00 contribution through the Community Investment Fund. That first year, our community responded in an extraordinary way, raising an incredible $107,000.00 for the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital

The following year, Natalie and the team at the Prince Rupert Port Authority made an even greater commitment.

Their message was simple:

"We're all in. We'll match every dollar you raise."

Those words changed everything.

Since then, the Prince Rupert Port Authority has stood shoulder to shoulder with the Rupert Rampage and this amazing community, matching our fundraising efforts dollar for dollar through its ongoing commitment to improving local healthcare.

Today, the Prince Rupert Port Authority has contributed more than $557,000.00 toward enhancing healthcare services at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital – an extraordinary investment in the health and well-being of our families, friends and neighbours.

Their support extends far beyond financial contributions. Through the Community Investment Fund, the Prince Rupert Port Authority has demonstrated a genuine commitment to strengthening our community and ensuring better healthcare for generations to come.

Please join us in recognizing and thanking Natalie and the entire Prince Rupert Port Authority team for believing in this community, believing in our healthcare workers and believing in what we can accomplish when we come together.

Together, we continue to prove that when a community and its Port work side by side, remarkable things happen.

❀️ Thank you, Prince Rupert Port Authority. We couldn't do this without you.
