A huge thank you to all the incredible runners who took part in the Skeena River Relay Race.
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our wonderful volunteers. Your time, and dedication is the backbone of this event.
This race simply could not happen without each and every one of you.

Race Package Pick-up - Prince Rupert Recreation Center - Judo Room 7-8pm June 5th, 2026

Team captains (or their designated person) must pick up their T-shirts and race bibs. If team captains cannot be at the meeting, they must advise the race director who will be picking up their packages in their place.

June 5th, 2026

8:00-8:30 PM - Team Captains Meeting* - Prince Rupert Recreation Center - Judo Room

7:00-7:30 PM - Race Volunteers Meeting* - Prince Rupert Recreation Center - Eagle Room

Team Captains and Race Volunteer Meetings are MANDATORY to attend for Team Captains and Volunteers respectively.

June 6th, 2026 - RACE DAY
7:00 AM - Start of Stage 1 - Lester Center of the Arts (1100 McBride Street, Prince Rupert, BC)

NOTE Arrive 20 - 30 minutes early. Bathrooms will be available in the Lester Center

12:00 PM - Start of Stage 7 - Kasiks Wilderness Lodge (Highway 16 - 84km East of Lester Center)

NOTE Arrive 25 - 30 minutes early. Bathrooms will be available in the Lodge

6:30PM - Dinner - George Little Park - 4633-4603 Park Ave, Terrace BC

- Awards and Door prizes to follow

NOTE post race showers can be found at the Ferry Island campsite and Terrace Recreation Center (hours of operation may vary)

Good luck to everyone participating in BV Velo & McBike & Sport's annual Tour de Smithers and Northern Triathlon Club's PG Northern Triathlon tomorrow! High-fives to all of the volunteers for making the events possible. One of those amazing volunteers & organizers is Peter Krause from McBike, who is also helping with this year's triathlon. Thanks, Peter!

Runners are able to run and volunteer. Or get your friends and family to come help out and cheer you on!

All volunteers get a free ticket to the awards dinner and are entered in a draw to win some sweet local prizes

This is also a reminder that all teams are required to provide 1 volunteer, please get them signed up. The relay will be cancelled if we cannot source enough volunteers.

Tasks : stage volunteers / Dinner set up / take down crew - There is also first aid volunteers needed! This is only a 2-4 hours commitment depending on the position.

A race director is responsible for planning and executing the event, including securing permits, managing logistics (registration, timing, volunteers), coordinating with local authorities. Sound Daunting?

Fear not! you will have the support support and guidance from the Rupert Runners board as well as past race directors! .

This is a great opportunity to get involved, share your ideas, and help grow our club.
