The 10+ Leadership group had the ʔaǰumiš opportunity to hop on a boat with The Guardians, Captain Bryce and Captain Andrew. We headed for ʔagayqsɛn, trolled the waters, caught a large female θəqay sockeye with eggs in her belly, swam at a sandy bay and then did some jigging. On our journey we saw 3 pods of qʷənɛs whales, schools of fish, otters and seals. The next morning we visited the fish processing space at Ahms Aye, with Lawry and Logan, to process and vaccum the sockeye into filets, fish head soup and the guts to return to the ocean. Čičuy will reflect on how we are all connected to one another, to the land, and to past and future generations. Strengthening our sense of unity and respect for one another.
