Port Clements Rod and Gun Club

Port Clements Rod and Gun Club We are a community based club and shooting range supporting local hunting and fishing.

Prior to our r***e range being built in 1988, the PC Rod and Gun Club existed as an advocacy group for better logging practices and sustanability in fisheries. We joined the BCWF in 2005, which has given us more of a voice over policies effecting our communities. Our R***e range is still in operation in Port Clements, and we offer a number of community shoots throughout the year.

Second clean-up event of 2026 had 9 folks helping out!

Special Effort volunteer award for September 2026 goes to Hans & Margaret for mowing the Range throughout the summer. As a result of their amazing ongoing efforts, our team today was able to focus on different tasks, including hard core tree removal and drainage.

Last person working today, showing us how to get it done, was Sylvan the brush cutting monster extraordinaire.

Thank you to the Old Massett ADP program for their donation. Everyone was stoked to take home some fish!

Special effort volunteer award for August 2026 goes to Derick Thierstein. Derick led the removal of a bunch of busted targets, and an old well used stove made by Craig Beachy.

Derick is a professional wood stove installer and sure knows how to remove chimneys.

TODAY!! Join us for the Port Clements Rod & Gun Club Autumn Clean Up Day on Sunday, September 13 at 12pm.

Come lend a hand getting the range cleaned up and ready for fall. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Just bring gloves - we will provide everything else.

Join us for our Father's Day Open Shoot on Sunday, June 21st from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM!

Bring Dad, bring a friend, or just come out for an afternoon at the range. All experience levels are welcome.

Members: $5
Non-Members: $10

Whether you're a seasoned shooter or it's your first time at the range, we'd love to see you there. Come enjoy some friendly competition, good company, and a great day outdoors.

PAL Course registration for Masset online at www.hgrec.com. Please register online with your credit card. Daajing Giids date (July 12th) is coming soon.

Refund/cancellation policy for Training & Education:

A full refund, less any applicable program supply fees, will be issued if the withdrawal request is received at least 10 business days (2 weeks) prior to the session, in writing. If there is a waitlist, HG Rec will offer to the first on the list, who will have 24 hours to purchase the ticket before offering to the next on the waitlist.

Due to the planning required for these programs, no refunds will be issued after this period.

Find-your-own-replacement: After the 2-week deadline, registrants will not receive a refund. However, they may have their spot filled by a friend or community member if they provide advance notice to Haida Gwaii Recreation and the instructor. Haida Gwaii Recreation is not responsible for managing this; however, if there is a waitlist, we may be able to support if given at least 72hr notice.

If a waitlisted participant can fill the spot before the program starts, a full refund may be issued at the discretion of Haida Gwaii Recreation.

Today's Iron Sight Shoot, even though it was windy, rainy & cold, brought out the usual suspects and one new member! This unique shoot demonstrated optics are not necessary to shoot a fi***rm. It was cool seeing all the guns from previous generations come out to play.
